Good story, average reader

I've been spoiled by some amazing readers on audio books and when I come across a reader such as this I am ashamed to admit he is very average. It is difficult to get into a story when the reader is not as good as the story but this is a good story so I soldiered through. It will be difficult to pick up the next books with the same narrator.
