Somehow...it works!
Would you consider the audio edition of Primeval to be better than the print version?
Didn't read the print version...nothing to compare to.
What did you like best about this story?
The development of the characters in the series, and the usual drama they need to withstand.
Which scene was your favorite?
The conclusion is good, but the early set ups in prehistory, Russia and the US were compelling.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Nothing extreme, but certainly did have some chuckles and was entertained.
Any additional comments?
This is a sprawling book, combining aspects of the Russian revolution, Sasquatch, the Cold War, Russian gangsters, etc. On the face of it you would think it wouldn't, but it does ( somehow ). I feel this is the best of this series so far ( and, as always, the performance captures the essence of the characters.)
Highly recommended ( with the caveat that ya kinda gotta like the Event Group.)

Event Group Series are Great Yarns
Audible has all 9 of the Event Group series, you just need to hunt for the suckers because they like to hide them! Mr. Goleman spins pretty neat yarns in all of his books. His biggest problem is that he really needs a fact checker to edit his books desperately. His lack of knowledge regarding the military in general is appalling. The time in grade for promotion for officers has his characters frozen in rank; some change rank during the same book. He needs a decent armorer to fact-check his guns and ballistics.
In one book India is described as the world's largest Muslim nation; the NKVD as the successor to the KGB, etc. Sometime it almost seems that Mr. Goleman is putting in false facts in on purpose! He does seem to get a favorite phrase for each book, plus many re-occurring ones like, "...screamed like a girl..."; "...a sight he would remember for the rest of his life"; etc.
Richard Poe's narrations have come around from a virtual Joe Friday presentation to pretty good variation for all the characters and gets into the material!

Bigfoot lives
Okay, I found this a bit confusing but it turned out that the fault was all mine as I listened to the books out of order (listening to Primeval before Legacy). That aside, Primeval is another amazing story by David Lynn Golemon and the Event Team are easily my favourite group of literary heroes ever!

Sasquatch, Spys, and Soviets
It was pretty easy to guess that Big Foot was going to play a role in this book from the first few minutes. However, the addition of a military weapon and a completely unexpected, Canadian adventure really had me liking this book. It was a bit tamer on the "Fringe Science" this go around than the previous book, Leviathan. This book gives a pretty solid case for the existence of Sasquatch and a number of close calls for Old and New characters alike. All in all it was a fun read and Richard Poe is still on point with his narration. Looking forward to the next book.

A must listen
Then Event Group series continues to pull me in. I started with first book in the series and can't stop. I'm on to the next book. Recommend reading in the order published. Again this book is must read if you like adventures thrillers.
