Publisher's Summary

From New York Times best-selling author Nikki Turner comes the sequel to Project Chick.

Tressa always thought that the best moment in her life was the day she gave birth to her twin boys, Khalil and Hadji, but even better was when she got the news that their abusive father, Lucky, was dead. His death gave the streets freedom and safety, and it gave Tressa an opportunity to start over. She was thrilled the bad days were gone, but it didn’t take long for her to realize that, even though Lucky was dead, she would never be free of him.

When the twins discover that Indie, the man who raised them, had a hand in killing their father, nothing can stop them from plotting their revenge. They are about to find out that nothing is what it seems.

What the critics say

"Nikki puts a new twist on an old favorite. As thought provoking and witty as it is hood, Project Chick II is a great read." (K’wan, best-selling author of the Hood Rat novels)

Good Sequel Ms.Turner

Would you listen to Project Chick 2 again? Why?

I would not listen to it again, but it is not because this title wasn't good. I was a good listen, I just repeat very little books.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the twist and turns to this book, and I LOVE those twins. They are truly a mess. Especially that Ali.He is more like his stepfather while the other twin is a miniature Lucky.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was Ace being approached by Indie. Indie is so awesome, and adds a lot of flavor to this storyline. Please don't kill him off Nikki.. It would hurt me too bad!

Any additional comments?

I did not expect there to be a part 2 to Project Chick. I read the first book so long ago, I almost forgot about. I did not have any expectations, so I honestly was not let down. Nikki Turner books have so many different twist on street lit.I can truly appreciate that. I hate for an author to glorify the lifestyle too much. Nikki has an awesome balance.

Project Why

What would have made Project Chick 2 better?

Project 2 would have been great if it had actually left off where 1 ended. I'm so confused.

Would you ever listen to anything by Nikki Turner again?

I'm not sure.

What about Cary Hite’s performance did you like?

I liked every bit of his performance.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Project Chick 2?

I would explain how characters that died in one came back.

Any additional comments?

I'm returning this, I'm so upset.

We all love bad boys...but don't have their babies

Would you consider the audio edition of Project Chick 2 to be better than the print version?

I have many books but I'm in love with audio version. I'm always on the go and I don't have time to sit and read like I want too. With audio edition of Project Chick 2...I could listen to this while getting ready for work, on my way to work, in the store while shopping, and working out. I wish they would add the first Project Chick.

Which character – as performed by Cary Hite – was your favorite?

Cary Hite is one of my favorite performers every part he reads sounds great!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I started this book on late Sunday evening and found myself up late trying to listen. I finally had to turn it off to get some sleep for work the next day. As soon as I got up, I had it on listening to it while getting ready the next day. I would have finish it in one sitting if I didn't have to work.

Any additional comments?

The twins were a mess...just bad! But I loved them! I just know there will be another book to follow cause I really wanna see how these two end up when they become adult men. Nikki please don't let me down!

Pretty good

My only issue with these 2 books is that the math wasn’t always mathing… In the first book, Gypsy was left completely paralyzed but in this book she owns a salon and does hair? The first book talks about Tressa’s first fight… Starting out by saying she was in middle school then saying she was in the 3rd grade by the end of that story. They were several other instances that made listening a touch irritating but over all a good listen.
