The novel is great. Filled with a good balance of humor and emotion. The characters really feel like a real group of boys, just enough seriousness with a side of tomfoolery.

I went into this wanting to feel and hear the emotions and got exactly what I wanted. The voice acting was wonderful, capturing the moods of the characters all while making the individual distinct enough to know who's talking.

While I enjoyed Proof of Life and it was what I sought, I would not recommend it for everyone. It covers some serious topics and emotions that could be upsetting.

I wanted to love this book but after the beginning of the book it really dragged on. This book focuses more on the individual characters and their development versus the development of their relationship.
