Publisher's Summary

Shifter and vampire true mates story.

Alek's older brother, Justice - the Alpha Zenith - was the first shifter to mate with a vampire in many generations, and it was believed the rare, fated pairing would stop at him. But, it hadn't. Aleksei "Alek" Volkov was second beta, next in succession to the most powerful shifter in the world. He was proud of his title and he took his duties seriously. It was all he had. Until his true mate literally showed up on his doorstep.

Belleron "Bell" Liatos had come to the states for one reason - his best friend and vampire king, Chadwick Bentley. He certainly didn't come to be pounced on by a wolf that could act independently of its master. Not only was his destined cherished a complicated and confused man, but he was also unaware of the powerful presence that lurked in the shadows of his soul. Bell didn't know he'd be the key to unlocking an exceptional triad that would play a critical role in fulfilling the prophesy.

Contains mature themes.

Fantastic!!!

5 Blue Roses
5 Blue Flames
This was such a surprise in all the ways an audiobook addict can be surprised.
Narrator Troy Duran shot himself out of orbit, by surpassing all my previous opinions and expectations about his level of performances. He engulfed himself emotionally, totally and absolutely into this reading. I enjoyed this second book much more than the first one. I brushed up yesterday on book one and was kind of disappointed to see a new narrator for book two, but oh, my goodness gracious me! I am so glad I was wrong!
The sexy deep barrotone of his voice and presentation of all the different characters, it felt like I was watching a movie or listening to a multicast.
The plot has a fresh new twist, it's different and original, I did not see this development in the plot coming. The author has tremendous talent, I haven't listened to a single book that disappointed me. The things the characters say, are funny and original.

I definitely recommend this series. Listen to book one first before you tackle this beautiful monster!

Happy Listening

Well...my, my, my....

A.E., wow. I adore the way you reach into this story and pull it together. At first I thought, hmmm...slow start. But it doesn't take long for you to dive headlong into a story of shifters and vampires with a brilliant imagination! And the sex. my, my, my...I feel a need to say thank you for that alone. I like a story with a lot of story, and admittedly, you did a lot of sex in this one, but it fit and dang...hot and hot and hot. Bravo. All I can say is...git' to writin' more!

Troy, wow. You are these characters. It could not have been more perfect.

Listener, get the first one and listen to it to get a good background, but you could get away with starting with this one. And get ready for a ride into shifters and vampires most haven't even thought of. Alphas, DemiGods, Royal Vampires...well...gird your loins and get ready for a pretty intense ride.

so excited for this series

Poor Alek. He's so toubled and burdened with something beyond him. He has suffered loss and seemed to have no one to help him. Alek is one of several brothers and a sister that have all been blessed by a goddess but Alek's blessing is also a curse. Belleron is a powerful vampire that has lived many years on his and answering to no one but his king. Bell is perfect for Alek because he is strong and can handle Alek and his "blessings." action packed, a little romance, some hot sex and enough interest that i can hardly wait for the follow-up.

Almost DNF this book... but still gave it 4 stars?

First let me say I really liked this narrator for this book, the voice goes really well for the story and tone. Also I really liked this story. The author could have added a little more explanation but I really did like it and the first one as well. I will not be reading any others thought. I do not like when a character is “straight” and then is mated to someone of the same sex who then makes then “gay”. The author has already Insinuated that is how the next book is going to go. Plus two charter frequently discuss there Hetero relationships and either the author will do the same or they’re story’s will be left out because she only write MM romance. I do realize this is a personal issue so if that situation doesn’t bother you this is a really good series.

Not As Strong As Book 1. But, Still Good.😏

I have waited for almost a year if not a year for book 2 to become available on audible. Book 1 was so good the way it left us wanting more. In book 2 it does pick up from the end of book 1, but it goes in another direction, which wasn't bad, but I did not expect that. The storyline was a little above average. Not at all as strong as book 1. This story should have been totally about war and not Alec's story. Its wars, which whom I like. In my opinion Alec is no longer relavent and not needed anymore. Troy Duran did an amazing job with his narration of these characters. I still think that A.E. Via is a wonderful author, and I'm still a fan, I look forward in purchasing, and listening to this complete series. I just pray🙏that for us who only listen to books on audible, will not have to wait soooo long again for the complete series, or book 3 to become available to us. Ps. I do recommend this series.🙂

Troy Duran is AMAZING

I love this series and I love this book! I don’t have enough superlatives to explain how much, but the world building is fantastic. Just enough uniqueness to make it stand out in the world of paranormal romance, but enough familiar themes to keep a die-hard fan like me appeased.

There were times when I definitely felt like this should be labeled as a ménage, I should warn you, however. The character building is so strong that the “beasts” inside Alec take on their own personalities and the way the author describes their interaction with one another and with Bell sometimes felt like separate beings at times… a lot of the time.

I found the explanation for Alec’s situation really well done and the way Bell manages him and his issues was also really good. I also loved that Bell never felt as “submissive” to Alec as I maybe sometimes felt with Wick and Justice.

There is a TON of smexy times, but definitely less than book 1 – which for me – was a good thing.

After having listened to book 1 on audio I can say I hope the author uses the same narrator and I can’t wait for it to make it to audio!

I think you need to read book 1 to really appreciate this, but I bet it’s fine as a standalone if you haven’t.

(I didn't feel this was an HFN, FWIW - it felt very complete to me.)

Highly recommended!

Audio

They are Wrath!

I wasn't sure at the start, that this 2nd book would hold up to the first, but it definitely did. It's a different narrator then the first book, but baby's got bass! Troy Duran gave a fantastic performance, I got all the #yum shivers from his deep voice. I don't want to give any spoilers, so I'll just say that the story has some unique elements about relationships, that were so engaging. I have the feels for all these characters and can't wait to read book #3. This a series that I will very likely listen to again, as A.E. Via has an incredible gift for creating characters that I (we) care about. Plenty of smoking hot 🔥 sexy times too 😉. All the best Lovers are fictional, darn it!!

Loved it!

I really enjoyed this one! This one picks up shortly after the last one left off with our issue of Alek and Bell. It was different and deals with a different side to issues of what was happening in the first book. It really pulled me in and I loved the story. I loved getting to see more of Alek's siblings. There was plenty of action and intrigue as we watch these two come together and Alek tries to put his pieces back together. This one was very good and I am really looking forward to the next book in the series.
Narrator did a fantastic job with the voices and personalities and really bringing all of them to life.
