This is a great way to learn a language
I really loved the voices present in this audiobook. I found all the additional info about Puerto Rico culture, food and language very useful. If you listen to this audiobook regularly, the Spanish words will become a part of you sooner or later. I really enjoyed it!

Not sure anyone can benefit from this book
Whether you already speak Spanish, or are just beginning, your money is better spent elsewhere.
I already speak Spanish, and I thought this audiobook would be about what makes Puerto Rican Spanish different from other varieties. Instead it is mostly lists of words and phrases in very basic mostly standard Spanish. I went into the book knowing nothing about Puerto Rican Spanish, and I’m not sure I learned anything new in the first three chapters.
But even if you are just starting to learn Spanish, this book is not for you. The bulk of the book is simply lists of Spanish words (Months, body parts, etc) spoken in Spanish and followed by their English translation. This is NOT an effective way of learning any language. If you are just starting out and want an audio course, check out Pimsleur Spanish instead.
