I loved Chloe’s fascination, admiration and devotion to a wild creature. To remain aloof, without expectation and yet so devoted is a rare quality. The hare clearly accepted the unwritten terms of the relationship. Chloe’s acute observation and study of the hare’s patterns and her respect for them was admirable. It must have been very hard to resist naming her.
