Sweet ending to one of my favorite love stories
I fell madly in love with Ethan Blackstone and his filthy mouth in Naked (book 1), and continued to be blown away throughout the series. Ethan's and Brynne's whirlwind, action packed, erotic romance has been such a joy to follow.
I couldn't wait for the final installment, and although I definitely enjoyed this one, I found it was a tad anticlimactic as I awaited the arrival of Baby Blackstone. Where the previous books had suspense and major intensity, this story was sweeter, slower paced, and more settled. The saving grace as always, is Ethan--I love him, and love the man that breathed life into this dynamic character--Shane East! He is one of the best narrator's I've heard. He imparts so much passion into Ethan's character, I feel like I'm feeling whatever Ethan is going through in that moment. Overall, I highly recommend this series and will continue to purchase Raine Miller books.

Should have been an epilogue to Eyes Wide Open
First, I have to say that I am annoyed with Audible for not putting this book on the home page as a book that I would be interested in based on my past purchases, seeing as I have the other three books in my library. I just stumbled upon it by accident as I was browsing the website the other day.
With that out of the way, my reaction to this book was "meh". The author basically tied up loose ends from the other three books, but that could have been done with an epilogue at the end of Eyes Wide Open. There's really not much in the way of more story in this book. It just felt like an excuse to extend the series in an attempt to get more money out of consumers.
Normally I love Grace Grant and Shane East, but in this book, Grant seemed very tentative in her narration. She slowed down and seemed to leave too much time between sentences. That's my main criticism of her performance in this book, but other than that, she did a good job - but not as good as she usually does.
Shane East did a good job, on par with his past performances. I have to say, though, when he reads a sex scene, it can be a bit over the top. If I'm listening at home, it's okay, but if I'm listening in my car, I have to pull over! :) He really puts it all out there, so good for him!
Bottom line for me is that it was an okay book. If you really liked the first three books, you will probably want to get this one to find out a few things, but overall, it just felt like a way to get more money out of me.

Why repeat from previous books
Any additional comments?
This book had so much potential for moving the story forward in the series. However, the author chose to repeat and review content that was covered in the previous books instead. Don't the characters have any new emotions, new things to focus on? How many times in the series does the author really need to explain how the couple met?

Rare and Precious Perfection
Any additional comments?
Each book in the Blackstone Affair progressively gets better and better, and Rare and Precious Things is most definitely no exception... Finishing up Rare and Precious Things was so bittersweet for me. I've LOVED this series, these characters, this amazing journey Ms. Miller has taken us on every step of the way. I never wanted it to end!... Leave it to the amazing Raine Miller to give us an ending that will satisfy every part of you...mind, body, and soul.
Ethan and Brynne are finally married, and they even have a baby on the way... Brynne doesn't want to know the sex of the baby until she gives birth, so it was a long, anticipated wait for the big reveal. During the wait, we get to see Brynne and Ethan as a married couple, and even though the two have a few bumps along the road, they truly are meant to be together... I seriously love the romance that Raine Miller has created between Ethan and Brynne. It’s so beautiful, heartfelt, romantic, epic, and heart-stoppingly sexy......Perfection... :)

This volume was totally 'extra'
Long and drawn out. Could have been a three chapter epilogue and saved the irritating repetitions used to make up this volume. Boring.

😍
There is some unnecessary reputation that does get annoying. I think on the whole it's a good piece of work and a surprise for a 4th book of the same story.

Not as good as the others.
Book 4 wrapped up the series in a nice little bow tie, but it wasn't necessary. The recaps of certain events in the previous books bored me.

Thank you for a happy ending
Yes, if you've read/listened to the series this could feel tired. But it does not spend excess time rehashing the prior three books. We get a wonderful and happy ending. And I'm a sucker for a happy ending. It was great to see an author have people address their mental crap in a real fashion and work through it and grow up. Bravo that.
Shane East and Grace Grant we excellent. I wish they read more other titles. I find following a narrator keeps me with the same type of story and is nice.
