Decent short stories.

I like to read a few forgotten realms books a year and this was my first read of a realms anthology, underdark has been one of my favorite settings so far. Writing this review because there isn't one on here yet. As far as short stories go I enjoyed them all.

The narrator was hard to listen to for the most part, I'm not much of a critic so can't really break down what I did and didn't like about the performance but it was one of the rougher listens I've downloaded.

The first story is about a young drizzt and a living zakafien (not sure I spelt that right) so it might appeal to readers of the new drizzt trilogy for a bit of drizzt/Zak while you're waiting for the next book.

The second story is based in skull port under water deep and it has a decent about of action for a story that short, its by Ed greenwood and has short cameos/mention s of alot of his characters.

Third story was by Elaine Cunningham and featured gromphes daughter liriel, a short coming of age story set in our favorite drow city. This was actually the short story I enjoyed the most in this anthology.

The fourth was a short adventyre featuring a deep gnome and a derro that recently escaped a drow party in the underdark, I'll admit that I was a little distracted by work while I was listening to this one so I'll likely give it a reread on paper.

The fifth and final story featured volo and an unfortunate cook one their journey to map out a guide to menzobaranzan (also probably spelled wrong)
