Waiting for next.

Ok the book was ok some parts were much better then others. The city war thread not so great the hunt thread should have been the focus.
The narrator was the worst part.

A cast of 1000's without a personality among them

I've listened to a good amount of 40k but I got 6 hrs through and couldn't finish. The Space Marines are the generic and meaningless, even by 40k standards. I could bearly even remember who they were in the story, not helped by the fact that the narrator only has 2 voices. The Marines have a deep voice and everyone else his normal voice. The author goes to great lengths to explain every pointless detail, from shoe size to what they had for breakfast, but it just comes off as nerdy and he like he was being paid but the word. I'm not even going touch the dumb names and overly elaborate vocabulary.

Really bad. Don't buy it
