There is no HEA and the story is incomplete!

I was so disappointed that this trilogy ended the way it did. Had I known I would have never started it. It was well written but I always want some simblance of a happy ending. Also, listens/readers need to be aware that the end of this trilogy is NOT THE CONCLUSION OF THIS COUPLE’s story. I don’t want to give too much away but, the apparent ending, is deceiving. The author’s notes lead consumers to believe that this is a complete trilogy; it is not. Consumers have to purchase one or two overpriced 5-6 hour books to know what happens to Shepherd and his mate. It is necessary to listen/read to, at least, the first book of the, “Alphs’s Control”, series for an explanation of the bizarre ending of this book. As I have written before, I feel that author’s who constantly publish incomplete novels (with Cliffhangers), in order to coherence fans to purchase (For their apparent financial gain) more incomplete novels, are taking advantage of those who support their very livelyhood. My personal response to this, is to refuse to purchase any more books, by this author. ( Fool me once, and all that)

WTF!??? No HEA! OPEN ENDING. SPOILERS ALERT!

WARNING - COMPLETE SPOILERS - DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW BEFOREHAND WHAT HAPPENS!!!

This is not a romance, it is an X-Rated Shakespearean Tragedy!

There's no HEA! This is supposed to be the final installment in a "dark romance" series. If this is listed under "ROMANCE" no matter how dark, I am expecting a Happily Ever After by the end, even if the characters have been put through the wringer.

There is no Happy Ending here, but a sad unresolved story. I wish I would have read the negative feedback, or had found spoilers before wasting my time with this audiobook!

HERE IS WHY:

1. After going through everything she went through with Shepherd (the supposed "hero"), Claire is captured by Svana, who makes her miscarry by "inserting her fingers all the way into Claire's womb", and leaves her to be raped by three of her Alpha minions for hours while she is bleeding.

2. After Claire is "rescued" she goes to find Shepherd, and finds him dying. She drops on top of him while bleeding to death and everything goes black.

3. Claire survives, but Shepherd doesn't. Claire is catatonic for a while. She maintains she can feel Shepherd, and one night she scapes and "supposedly" commits suicide.

After all that crap, you are left with a feeling that there is more to the story as if Shepherd and Claire might not be dead after all.

This was a mess of a story, and I am sad I won't get those hours of my life back.

The narrator was decent so he gets 4 Stars. The story gets 1 Star as I couldn't leave it at zero.

I almost threw my Kindle in anger.

I rarely write bad reviews. However, I was so frustrated by this book. After reading/ listening to the first two books I was interested in finding out how the story ends. I wanted to find out how the hero and heroine found their HEA. Then in the last two chapters the heroine was attacked, which caused a miscarriage. She found her mate who died. Then she committed suicide. This is NOT how romance novels are supposed to end!! The very end hinted at a continuation, but now I just DO NOT CARE!

The narrator has a nice voice and did a good job with the different characters. However, multiple mispronunciations made it confusing and annoying. Glad this was part of the ARP and I didn’t pay for it.

I had to fast forward through the rape..I am not sure why this is in the romance section. not your average romance.

FINALLY... the Audio Book I've been WAITING for!!

I have been breathlessly anticipating the release of this audio book ever since I listened to the second book in Addison Cain's Alpha's Claim Series. The narrator from that book, Marcio, NAILED it. It was hands down one of my favorite audio books... until this one. I can honestly say that if it had been a different narrator, I don't think I would have enjoyed the audio book nearly as much as I did the second one. But thankfully, it was the same narrator and Mario does not disappoint. Hello Shepard... I've missed your deep sexy voice :)

A THOUSAND OMG's !!!

I had to listen to the first two books again before l listened to REBORN. So it's been a weekend marathon and I'm emotionally exhausted. I have to admit to loving Shepherd from book one. While listening to this, I actually cried. That is very rare. I'm now so invested in this world that I'm angry the audio isn't out for the next book because REBORN ends in a cliffhanger and I need relief!

Marcio Catalano does a freaking awesome job narrating.

Gets better each book

I really thought this series would drag. The first ones focused a lot on sex but the little bits of story really catch up in this one. I normally can guess what is going to happen in these types of books. I was pleasantly surprised that it kept me guessing. I love and hate Shepherd. 🤣
