Working for a hotel heiress and social media influencer may not be my dream job, but at least it allows me time to do what I really love — take photographs. Pretty good for a wholesome farm girl from Kansas trying to make it in Boston. Life may not be easy working for a diva, but at least I know what to expect. Until blue-collar billionaire Braden Black strides into the office.

I was upgraded to first class on a flight from London to New York. The food, champagne, and service were impeccable. The blue-eyed man sitting next to me, even better. He was suave and intelligent. We talked and laughed, and something clicked. Fate took over and the plane was grounded, and we had an unexpected stopover for the night. With no plans, we made our own.

Publisher's Summary
One Wolfe wife is forced into a marriage of convenience to the man she loves desperately.
Another is about to take the fall for a murder she didn’t commit.
Time is running out for the Wolfes. Lacey is under arrest for the murder of patriarch Derek Wolfe, and the four Wolfe siblings - Rock, Roy, Reid, and Riley - are still considered suspects. Rock is determined to save his wife, even if it means committing murder himself, while Reid resolves to to discover the truth and avenge his love, Zee, for what she’s suffered at his father’s hand.
A court order not to leave the state of New York doesn’t stop Rock and Reid. Using aliases, they venture out to find the key to this mystery once and for all. Several others are implicated, and an abduction, a death, and a long-lost relative complicate matters and bring new evidence to light.
Rock and Reid will do anything to save the women they love - even if it means neither of them come out alive.
What the critics say
“As the story is told from four points of view, narrators Troy Duran, Kendall Taylor, Molly Glenmore, and Ryan West effectively portray the main characters. Duran and West embody the brothers' tough-guy attitudes. Taylor and Glenmore personify the wives' strong, independent personalities...all capture the heightened intensity of this fast-paced thriller. Fans of the series will be pleased with the final production.” (AudioFile Magazine)

Okay
5 books to get to the end with disappointing ending leaving a few loose ends and no reasons for the atrocities the author wrote about. Had much potential but fizzled towards the end.

I want more!!
Fantastic series I highly recommend! Helen Hardt knows how to write a great mystery and this series is proof of that. I loved the well developed characters and the performers did an excellent job at bringing the characters alive. The only thing missing is Jordan’s story. I wish one more book could be added to tell Jordan’s complete story and to bring all the family together to heal from their abusive father. Thanks Helen for sharing your talent with the world!

Mystery and Intrigue to the End
The journey to find Derek Wolfe’s killer has spanned through several books, and this finale continues to open more suspicion and doubt. The culmination of the story and the open door it creates, leaves you frustrated, but intrigued. Totally didn’t see this ending, but liked how the siblings came together after a lifetime of trauma and abuse at the hands of those who were supposed to love and protect them.

Wow! Just WOW!
This (these) Audible(s) was brilliant! The voices are wonderful. One draw back, the ladies speak faster than I could follow and I personally had to slow the speech parameters down to .8, but otherwise excellent audio.
