Good Story - but Terrible American Accent

I really enjoyed the story - set in Wales - at times it was "edge of your seat" - what will happen next. The heroine, Ava, had left the village after her school years and went to the US with her parents. Now, 18 years later she returns for a visit - with an American accent...And it was terrible - the performer seemed to change her "accent: regularly and I had to fight my way through the faked accent to hear the story. I nearly stopped the recording many times due to the terrible accent - but the story was quite compelling.
