Publisher's Summary

Edwin Lefevre (1871-1943) was a stockbroker and an independent investor, as well as a novelist and writer of short stories.

This lightly fictionalized account of the career of stock speculator Jesse Livermore was first published in 1923. Now, nearly 100 years later, Reminiscences of a Stock Operator remains highly recommended for an understanding of investment.

Lefevre’s trading advice and analyses of market price movements are as relevant today as in 1923. What makes this book so valuable are the observations that Lefèvre records about investing, speculating, and the nature of the market itself.

Offering profound insights into the attitudes, feelings and motivations of investors, the book is a timeless instructional tale for investors everywhere.

Boring

Unfortunately, the book gets boring at about half of it. You also need to realize that events are happening in 1900. Ipersonally would prefer similar story, but about 70-80-90 with dramatic trading examples :)

Not inspired

Seems dated. Will probably reread slowly and section by section and extract universal observations. and wisdom. It has been well received by many, so perhaps I fell into partial sleep.
