Steve doesn’t know who he is.

Or who he was.

He doesn’t know anything, actually.

Not even where he is.

Other than a vast open field of dirt.

All Steve knows is that he’s apparently supposed to build a farm. At least that’s his only workable assumption. Given the number of farm-tools left to him. That and the massive number of sacks full of seeds.

Unfortunately, this isn’t even the strangest part of this new life.

Hidden inside the farm tools, Steve finds messages. Messages that appear in floating windows in front of him.

Messages from his past self, telling him that he’d already failed once.

But he has no idea what he actually failed at. Or how he can succeed this time.

Beyond all this, and unfortunately for Steve, the world just underwent a radical change. A change that’s going to have Steve fighting the undead, bandits, nature, and even himself. All while the world falls down around him.

And the only weapon he has is an axe.

Warning and minor spoiler: This novel contains graphic violence, undefined relationships/harem, unconventional opinions/beliefs, and a hero who is as tactful as a dog at a cat show. Listen at your own risk.

Parts of this story contain super weird/niche litRPG erotica with human + non-human intercourse...

tbh it would be 5 stars on story if not for some really cringey sex stuff....

I gave the preformance 4 stars because the MC which is male (and voiced by a female voice actor) which just doesnt fit the proper tone that I imagine would fit the description. For the amount of dialogue for mc it would have been nice to have the guy voiced by a guy...

I will say by the end of book 2 I was desensitized to a lot of the cringe still think it would be stronger without it, but to each their own.

Never has farming or homesteading sounded so amazing! considering this is a survival horror it does a very interesting job of making you feel at ease... when you really should not... which is fun when the thing happens and you were not ready... closes iv come to a jump scare in a book. the main character is also so likable, you cannot help but want nice things for him as well!

Will make you want to buy a farm... fair warning

the narrator did an amazing job bringing each character to life . great job 👏. the story wasn't what I expected but overall a great adventure.

more then you expect but protagonist is a little socio still all and all very good can't wait for the next book

first off the performance was fantastic but that's to be expected of Andrea. great vocal range from male to female, accented or otherwise.

Now the story is also as expected but in a less generally pleasing sorta sense. It's straight up rpg wish fulfillment with a more then healthy dose of bumping uglies. I won't go into detail because you'll know by the author's description if this is for you. personally it went a bit heavy on the sex, makes listening unpleasant if I'm not at home, aside from that it was solid addition to the genre.

the preview and discription don't do this world discovery harem adventure justice. very enjoyable. can't wait for the next book.

An easy listen for the long drive, alone. It was enjoyable but nothing new from Randi Darren. The hero is basically the same character as Wild Wastes - us vs them attitude, smash first questions later, let the women do the thinking- I'm just the muscle. The writing is still OK with the occasional painful line "without a noise, sound or word..." I'm a big fan of the author and his other books as early works - I was hoping for something new and improved rather than more of the same, but not as good...

At best this is a guilty pleasure. At worst this is a chauvinist piece of garbage that I’m embarrassed that I purchased and then listened to until the end.

The funny part is that the beginning premise had promise and then it became drivel.

The narrator is good. She must get paid well for this. At least I really hope she did. 😂

Now stick that in your watering can.
