So I almost called this book quits after the first few chapters, but I thought "OK I have to try and get through it". I really wanted to stop, I was bored and not liking this book but about 1/3 to 3/4 of the way through it finally picked up and at the end I need to know how this ends so Book 2 & 3 here I come.

This series is for a mature stable audience.

The Narration was great looking back, I understand why it was so drawn out and dark sounding. it makes sense as the book progresses and especially in the last hour-ish of listening. They gave life to the characters and it is a nice change from the "happy happy dark happy happy" erotic / romance books.

Not my favourite, but I'm going to finish the series because I do want to know how this ends.
