Publisher's Summary

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Driven series comes a powerful romance about reaching great heights through low depths.

Who says you have to play by the rules to get what you want?

Agreeing to meet Ryker Lockhart is my first mistake. Rich, handsome, and more than intriguing, he thinks blackmail will bend me to his will.

But he’s wrong.

I may have done a few things that weren’t exactly legal, but I have my own reasons for that. The last thing I’m going to do is let some high-powered divorce attorney come into my life, have my body, and rule my heart. Not to mention ruin everything that I have carefully built in just a short amount of time.

But as much as I try to resist him, and against my better judgment, there is something about him that has me agreeing to his proposal.

I’m putting everything on the line for him. I just hope I won’t lose everything when this is all over.

Excellent part one

Story was excellent.
Narration was perfect with Jason and Erin. They are the best together.

You need to get book two if you are going to listen to this book one.
Stops halfway through the story. You need to hear the rest.
Just an FYI ... Erin doesn’t narrate Vaughn in book two so don’t be upset. Samantha Brentmoor did an ok job. Still wish Erin did it as it was different having a different voice for Vaughn.

This book kept you on your toes. It was happy, sad, exciting, thrilling, I guess you could say it had all the emotions you could think of.

HOLY WOW.. BUT AARRRRGH A CLIFFHANGER ENDING

K. Bromberg has never yet let me down and I have had this little beauty on preorder for quite a while now - so I gleefully delved right in as soon as I possibly could. And I absolutely loved loved loved the slow unraveling of the story, the seismic chemistry, the suspense, the characters, the passion, the sex, the dual POV narration by Jason (.. sigh) and Erin.. however, I hated hated HATED the cliffhanger ending. This should be marked as a Duet not a Series.. we should also be warned beforehand about the cliffhanger because I personally would’ve waited until book 2 became available.

Worth a credit? OMG yes.. I consumed this story in a day.. but, at the end of it, I screamed, cried, threw things and inconsolably sulked like a spoiled toddler as I demanded more more more.

Fantastic story and narration!

I went into this completely blind. First off, you should know that it is book one of a duet, so things are not resolved in Resist. Hello, cliffhanger! I started this in ebook and finished it in audiobook. I loved it. K. Bromberg is an automatic one-click for me so I was not surprised that it was amazing. What did surprise me was the amount of suspense she doled out in this one.
Vaughn is living sort of a double life in order to get custody of her niece. And she has some CRAZY baggage. Ryker is a big-time divorce attorney who is completely over women. They meet and the chemistry is off the charts. There is a lot of angst but it all felt really organic. As always, I very much enjoyed the writing. Kristy Bromberg is a master at weaving a story. I had a fun time noticing some "Easter eggs" that she threw in from other books.
Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke made it even better with their fantastic narration. I highly recommend and can't wait to get my hands on book two!

Do not try to RESIST it! Sinfully delicious!

Holy mother of all things irRESISTible! This book was an emotional roller-coaster galore and you wouldn’t want to RESIST it.

I simply couldn’t put it down. So captivating, intense and angsty, but at the same time very emotional and heartfelt. The writing was impeccable and it gave me ALL THE FEELS I’m looking for in a book. Romance, steam, passion, fights, drama, witty exchanges are only a few of the ingredients in this explosive, emotional concoction. Add to that an irRESISTible hero and you’ve got the full package

And that narration! Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon put these characters to a whole new level. Absolute perfection. They gave so much depth to the characters and made them real.

Ryker Lockhart was exactly the bad boy type of guy I usually fall for. As a high-powered divorce attorney, the man was used to getting his way. He exuded confidence and strength but he was also a bit aloof and brooding which made his character even more intriguing.

Vaughn Sanders was his match made in heaven. Sassy, defiant, independent and ambitious. Typical Bromberg heroine.

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting her backstory. But she was such a complex character, with so many layers to be revealed. Her past was really emotional and poignant. A tangled web of events that she was really trying to work through and she was doing the best she could, so I admired her for that. She was a strong, confident woman on the outside and a very vulnerable one on the inside, which made her all the more realistic.

Their power fights were very sexy and witty. Both trying to get the upper hand, both wanting to pull the reigns and be ahead of the game. I wanted to strangle them at some places for their stubbornness and pigheadedness. But it was kind of fun to watch them try to one-up each other.

And wow! The ending was the cherry on the cake. Buckle up and hold on to your Kindle tightly, cause you may wanna throw it against the wall. I kid you not. I wasn’t expecting this turn of events, but now I can’t wait for the next book to see how they are going to settle this whole mess they got themselves in and what would be REVEALed.

Emotional, intense, steamy, angsty, and with lots of twists and turns along the way, this book was one of the best I‘ve read by Kristy and a top one for 2019.

I didn't love it

I wanted to love Reveal. There were definitely things I liked because K. Bromberg is one of my absolute favorite authors. I love her so much. The books starts off so great and I was excited to dive deeper into this book. I couldn't bring myself to love this book as much as I wanted to because Vaughn was such an insecure girl. She has gone through a lot in her life, some real tragic stuff, and my heart truly broke for her. I really couldn't get past her insecurities. She took everything the wrong way. Don't get me wrong, sometimes Ryker was a complete ass, overreacting and saying hurtful things to Vaughn.

I think the story as a whole was really good. The fact that Vaughn was a Madame was interesting and her reasons for what she does I totally respected. I think things are going to get real hard for Vaughn and I really hope things work out for her. I can't but want to know what happens in Vaughn's life. Erin Mallon is so great. I truly enjoy listening to her voice. She was stunning on this audiobook. I'm not too sure about how I feel about Jason Clarke on this one. He wasn't bad. It could have to do with my personal feelings about Ryker as a character and I'm trying not to hold that against the narrator. I didn't love it fully, but it was good.

5 stars

YESSSS! After 3 chapters in, I already added book 2 to my tbr! Thankfully we don't have to wait that long! Its been a few since I've read K's books and this might be her best yet! I will say that while this story is predictable, the story moved at an intense pace that I really enjoyed the story. Superstar narrators Erin and Jason were perfect! I highly recommend this on audio.

Page Turning to the Extreme!

From the first chapter I was hooked into Vee and what was happening with her character as she went toe to toe with the Senator. Any woman who can stand up and fight back is who I support and want to know everything about in the following chapters. What I didn't know is how I was going to fall in love with her story to the point that I was wanting to go back and re-read when I finished the book.

I use the WhisperSync version so I can still read when I can't listen (work conference calls, dang it!!!). However, the narrators made me want to LISTEN more than read because they were fantastic! Erin Mallon captured Vaughn's inner monologue so well that I could clearly follow the external communication versus what was going through the myriad of thoughts in her head. And Jason Clarke as Ryker --- oh my goodness --- the power behind the voice when he's making demands of Vaughn, completely believable!!!! Great job!

I cannot wait to get more of Vaughn and Ryker!!!!

Amazing

K Bromberg can write a great book as proven in The Driven series. This was no different for me. the characters were addicting and the emotions strong. My only dislike was the cliffhanger but it is a series. I can't wait for the next one!!

Can't resist Resist!

Kristy did it again with this intriguing story. I like the storyline of showing what Vaughn would do to accomplish her goals and how she stands up to Ryker. I can't wait for the next book to come out.
