Publisher's Summary

From New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg comes the raw, sexy, and jaw-dropping finale to the Wicked Ways series.

I play to win, and I won’t let anything - or anyone - get in the way of what I want.

The first time I met Vaughn Sanders, I knew I wanted her. Confident, intelligent, and downright sexy. I thought I knew how to play her game. I was ready and willing for the challenge. Little did I know she was full of secrets and surprises.

But so am I.

Charming a woman into my bed has never been my problem. It’s the relationship part that is. They want it. I don’t. But can you blame me? Broken marriages are how I make a living. Hell, no self-respecting man would let a woman own his thoughts, invade his dreams, and steal his heart. So how in the world has Vaughn done that to me?

I’ve fallen in love with her. There. I said it. But that acknowledgment comes with a heavy price.

Everything and everyone seem to be working against us, leaving us both to question whether what we have is worth the cost.

I’ll be damned if I go down without a fight.

Part two book was good but not as great as one

Book 2 was good. But not as good as book one.

I was a little disappointed that they had Samantha Brentmoor narrating Vaughn’s voice when they had Erin Mallon in the first book.

Parts of this book were slow moving. I wanted to fast forward through them but was afraid I would miss something important so I didn’t. Some places were bang on correct.

This book was exciting, thrilling, kept you on your seat, and sometimes you wanted to slap somebody,. So I guess you could say this book at many emotions.

Book one and two were my first experience reading a Kelly Bromberg book.

I honestly only bought these because of the two narrators I love so much. Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon.

Samantha Brentmoor was not bad she held her own but it would have been nice to have Vaughn’s voice the same in both books. I didn’t think Samantha did very good male voices, there were a few different male voices she did and they all sound more or less the same. You had to think of who her male character was. I guess you could say that’s my only down point that I wish they really would not have changed narrators halfway through.

THIS STORY REVEALS A 5 ⭐️ GIFTED AUTHOR

As I counted down the preordered hours waiting for this second slice of the Wicked Ways Duet to become available, I again revisited book 1 (which was absolutely no hardship at all) and, as the hours deliciously flew by (along with my not so delicious pile of ironing), I again savored every single mouthwatering second of it. And then, when I was completely up-to-date with the characters, the challenges ahead, the sizzling chemistry, the untold secrets and that devastating final blow, I protected my heart and thought I was ready for KB to pull me back into Vaughn and Ryker’s tempest filled world. BUT woweee, she certainly upped the ante as bitter blow after bitter blow kept coming with twisted skilful perfection.. as invisible strings are pulled threatening total destruction and devastation. As new players lurk in the shadows waiting to play their own manipulative game, as a once visible enemy strikes then retreats to plan his next well-timed blow.. and, as their beautifully bitter-sweet love story gets tested over, and over and over again.

The suspense, the angst-filled drama, the weighty blows, the revelations, the sweet touching hard won forgiveness, the sexy and swoon-filled times and the neverending rollercoaster of emotions that reached such wonderful highs then crashed to devastating lows with just a few well-placed words from KB. This was a fantastic audiobook because Jason Clarke (swoon) was the perfect fit for all things Ryker and Samantha Brentmoor did a great job too at bringing the nightmares, turmoil and the heavenly pleasures that Vaughn went through to life. Coming straight from book 1 as I did, yes I would’ve loved it if Erin Mallon continued the narration in both books, but SB very quickly won me over in the non-stop action that was Vaughn’s stress-filled and emotionally challenging life.

Worth a credit? Oh wow yes, KB is a brilliant, talented, gifted author. This Duet, with its explosive chemistry, its smooth, smouldering and snarky banter, its cleverly weaved subplots with two-faced Saints and saintly sinners, with its drama-filled layers that never quit, with its beautiful yet damaged love story and with its never ending character growth was (for me) an unstoppable listen. And, when it was finally time get off the eleven and a half hour dramafest rollercoaster ride that was epically brilliant, the HEA it gifts you with at the end leaves you thinking this may just be Ms Bromber’s best book yet.

Seriously

In the age of the ring door bell, spy cams, recorders, etc. these highly educated individuals, one a lawyer, the other a senator, and the other worldly experienced (at that), couldn't predict the events that would follow? You have got to be kidding me. You repeatedly get yourself in sh&%, and not to mention when things do not seem right.... oh I know, let's disregard it. Then there is a drug addict who is known to lie, make false accusations, etc. and regularly shows up at your place unexpectedly, you never once thought to install the ring door bell, or record your conversations.... Give me a break.. And, you are having issues with a social worker, who is clearly making decisions based on her personal feelings, is unprofessional, and you do nothing but make threats (You file no formal complaints). Then (spoiler alert)))), you get set up by the FEDs (and mind you a trap a kid would have seen coming) ignoring all of the red flags. There's so many other instances of BS. NO, just NO.... This book is too ridiculous to be believable. Sorry, this was a complete waste of my time.

Liked the First Story...LOVED This One

I liked the first book in this duet a lot. But I'll admit I was pretty ticked when it left me on a monster cliffhanger. Really hate those. If I recall, I compared it to getting your partner hot and bothered, then not following through with the anticipated satisfaction.

So... sometimes that anticipation is sweet IF there is, indeed the follow-through of satisfaction. That's exactly what this novel is. While I liked the first book, this one was even better. I totally loved it. Not just because I finally got that much anticipated (and apparently needed) satisfaction, although that certainly helped. But because this was the sweeter side to the savory story found in book one. This is actually quite a tale and does not lack for action, suspense, raw emotion, or romance. Good heavens, there's a lot packed into this story. If you think you're just getting a simple boy-meets-girl tale, think again. I was also elated to see the growth of these well-defined characters as the story progressed. They both had their quirks and areas of previous damage, but they recognized and worked on their issues, acknowledging they were "works in progress."

Having now completed this duet, I'm awed by the virtual masterpiece of it. It's very well done, and WILL leave the reader well satisfied. While it would be possible to read this as a stand-alone book, it is not advised. The reader will enjoy it much more if book one, "Resist" has first been read.

The book fans of duet needed

I don't think I've ever needed a book as bad as I needed this one. The cliffhanger from book one, Resist consumed me. WARNING: If you haven't read Resist, stop reading now! Now onto the good stuff. I was supposed to believe that Ryker betrayed Vaughn. But not my Ryker! And I was so glad this book jumped right into the truth. If you thought that Resist was whirlwind, Reveal will consume every part of you. I felt this story in my heart. Ryker has proven to be the ultimate book boyfriend. The way he doesn't give up and protects Vaughn kept me swooning from the beginning to the end. Vaughn proved to be even more of the bad ass woman I knew she was. I can't even describe in enough detail how much I loved this story. It was heart wrenching. I found myself having to pause a few times. Only because I was fully feeling every inch of this story. But it's all worth it. I don't know how K Bromberg does it. Every book from her I think is my favorite then she comes out with another masterpiece! This is a book that every K Bromberg (heck romance) fan needs to read. This story needs to be experienced. I will warn that not every moment in this story is pretty but that's what makes it so real. This book (duet) deserves all the stars in the sky in my opinion.

This one didn't wow me like book 1 "Resist" did. It was on the slow side and of course the ending did get good. I'm sad Erin Mallow wasn't narrating the female lead again, I felt like I was listening to an entire different book.

Reveal

The roller coaster of emotions continued until they finally exploded and Vaughn let Ryker back in. They are being battled at from all sides but that only makes them stronger. Vaughn is being stalked not only by the Senator but it seems the FBI has her in their sights and after the Senator is taken down only then are we made aware of yet another stalker. Definitely make sure you read or listen to these in order! I recommend them highly!!!!

Keeps u guessing

Picks up right at the cliffhanger from book one & takes off like a freight train-nonstop. In this Sexy conclusion everything is not always as it seems. Lots of highs and lows- worth the time and credit to find out the truth behind every twist & turn in this intriguing story. Of course narration was on point with all the shivers & swoons I needed to get me to this couple’s hard won HEA.

Great Conclusion

The conclusion of the Wicked ways duet is finally here and it had me on edge since the very first pages of the book..

We finally get to know all the secrets and back agendas of the secondary and the main characters had, making us more aware of the vulnerability of Vaughn's situation..

Reveal is way more intense than the first book in the duet, a roller coaster of emotions. You will get to feel all the angst, worry and love these two characters had especially with all the chaotic things happening around them. life and circumstances kept lurking and trying to separate them but in this book, we finally get to see the heroine kicking some senses and embracing her power to finally put a stop to the bad ones.

The love, the chemistry, the passion between Ryker and Vaughn is way stronger in the conclusion of the duet. I love how in tune these two were since the very beginning and we get to feel more in Reveal.

In love with the narrations, Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor did an amazing job bringing the conclusion of Wicked ways to an end, with all the emotions and the depth these two characters needed to make the story even more profound and more enjoyable.. love what they did ..

Great conclusion, great characters, and a great story that will keep you on edge at all times..
