Story
Life isn’t about “finding” fulfillment and success - it’s about creating it. Why then has creativity been given a back seat in our culture? No longer. Creativity is a force inside every person that, when unleashed, transforms our lives and delivers vitality to everything we do. Establishing a creative practice is therefore our most valuable and urgent task - as important to our well-being as exercise or nutrition. The good news? Renowned artist, author, and CreativeLive founder, Chase Jarvis, reminds us that creativity isn't a skill - it's a habit available to everyone.

Story isn't just one way to persuade. It's the way. It's built into the architecture of the brain, and has been since early humans gathered around the camp fire, trying to figure out how to outsmart the lion next door. In Story or Die, story coach Lisa Cron sets out to decode the power of story, first by examining how the brain processes information, translates it into narrative, and then guards it as if your life depends on it.

Author and entrepreneur Mick Spencer offers entrepreneurs an inspiring new road map to success - one that runs against nearly everything you've ever been taught about business. In this book, Spencer presents a solid case that analysis paralysis and endless "preparation" won't get you anywhere - you have to take that leap and do what you really want to do. He challenges you to get outside your comfort zone and, although intimidating, his approach forces you to learn "on the go" and focus on what you can do rather than what you can't.

"What do I need to do?" It's almost always the wrong question that an entrepreneur asks when creativity seems to have been lost. When you're stuck and the journals and books you've been reading and going to the masterminds and conventions and seminars you've been attending haven't led to any breakthroughs. When your notepads full of "proven best practices" should have brought you to the next level but haven't. In this paradigm-shifting work, serial entrepreneur Patrick Gentempo explains why the primary question you need to ask as a business leader is "Who should we be?"

In The Serendipity Mindset, Christian Busch explains that serendipity isn't about luck in the sense of simple randomness. It's about seeing links that others don't, combining these observations in unexpected and strategic ways, and learning how to detect the moments when apparently random or unconnected ideas merge to form new opportunities. Busch explores serendipity from a rational and scientific perspective and argues that there are identifiable approaches we can use to foster the conditions to let serendipity grow.

UNLEASHED!!!
Victoria Labalme, has really removed the straight jacket with her book: RISK FORWARD!!! I am so glad that she shares the gifts which this book has to share in her own voice. Though it is a short listen/read, I found myself pausing, taking notes, and at times just staring off into space because my creative juices had been set free, and they flowed. Even paused the book at one point because a song was set free in me and I wrote that song!!! Thank you Victoria!!! I look forward to meeting you in your awesome community, and I am going to start this over for my second listen/read through!!! Much Love❤️

Good friends are recommending this and so am I
YouTube's "Anxiety Doctor,” my friend, Dr. Pam Garcy, told me enthusiastically a few days ago about a great new book. The course leader who recommended it to her, Susan Peirce Thompson, said she was already practicing ideas from it with good results.
A few days prior, television producer Robin Creaseman told me enthusiastically about a great new book written by a colleague of ours.
What are the chances that both people would be enthusiastically recommending the same new book? Slim to none? Nope, the opposite.
Despite their enthusiasm, I knew that my self-esteem couldn't handle another book of “proven formulas” for goal-setting, focus, and success. Those formulas don't work for creatives like me who prefer to zag when others zig.
I wish I enjoyed reading books as much as I enjoy buying them, but the enthusiastic tone in both friends' recommendations inspired me to try listening on Audible instead. What a pleasure!
Now I’ve also got it on Kindle, and I’m buying hard copies for friends.
Victoria LaBalme's Risk Forward has no formulas. It breaks the mold and advises you to break your own moldy old molds of how things are "supposed" to work.
This book sets you free from steps you couldn't follow anyway and helps you practice trusting your unique inner guidance instead.
I've already listened to it twice, because it helps me see that my true path will never follow the ruts of anyone else's.

Be you and it's ok!
I've read many books that tell me what I should do to be this and that.
There's books that will tell me what and why I'm doing what I do and what I should do with that. And then I can be xyz...
This book tells me who I am is ok and the trust that you have in yourself while in the unknown is ok too.
This book reaffirmed that who I am and how I got here isn't because of any book I've read. It's because I trusted my gut and I've forgotten that. Thanks for reminding me!
