Publisher's Summary

Exclusively on Audible, hilarious history for ages eight and up.

Fasten your falx knives and grab the reins of your quadriga: Rivals 2! More Frenemies Who Changed the World is the funniest look at people who benefited the world through their hatred.

Hear how the rivalry between Edison and Tesla literally changed the course of electricity, how sports fans nearly toppled the Roman Empire, how geniuses Chanel and Schiaparelli empowered women worldwide and had the greatest rivalry that wasn’t, and how the feud between Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali was so intense more people tuned in to their fight than watched Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon two years earlier.

This book has it all: death beams, chariot races, flaming costumes, ear-munchers, party fleas, and whatever the opposite of epic poetry is....no fact is too bizarre, no segue too surreal, and no sequitur is too non for this riotous sequel.

More please!

At first, I thought I prefer the voice of Prentice Onayemi(Narrator for Book 1) more instead of Bill Andrew Quinn for the narration and will be left disappointed, but after fully listening to it I was hooked just like the first book in the series! A job well done to all the cast and hoping for a part 3!! Funny, entertaining and educational. A good listen to all ages!!

A fun jaunt through conflicts in history

I only wish Scott would make all of history so much fun. Though there are lots of conflicts that moved the saga of civilization along so he might keep trying.

Must hear information

I loved every part of this audible book. it grabs your attention, communicates the history and research with a not so subtle hilarity that allows you to enjoy history. That is something I wish I had in my own classes. The narrator was excellent as well.

Amazing!

I loved this Rivals book as much as the first. The information is so intriguing and its rivalries are ones we wouldn’t have thought of. Great book and I hope there is a Rivals 3 in the works.

Funny, Educational, and a Good Short Pace

I expected these stories to be formatted in a certain way. I didn't know how they did the first one, so I didn't know what to expect a first. After listening to the first one about Edison, I was already laughing before the story itself even started! I was very well entertained by the talented cast! Edison, The Stylists, and the Boxers were my favorite! I'm glad the stories were rather short, but were also well-read. The author had an interesting idea for writing this series to make it all funny, educational and short for anyone to listen to.

The cast did a wonderful job with all the characters! I became hooked to Edison's voice as soon as I heard it. Then I got inspired by the lady fashionistas story after Edison's. It wasn't just the story, it was who performed them that inspired me. And of course, who could forget one of the most famous boxing champions, Frasier and Ali? I didn't know he was born a different name! These two made me laugh the hardest, especially since Flynn, who played Frasier (excellent job with the voice tone and the accent!) has a father who also faced Ali a long time ago. The man who played Ali, I loved his brassy, confident tone for his character. It fit really well and it was easy for me to imagine the two rival at each other.
I also enjoyed the music and sound fx that kept the story alive as you listen. Sometimes a good voice isn't enough, you gotta include some background to visualize things better.

This listen was very funny and easy to learn from. I highly recommend. I'm glad everyone who participated made this possible.

Love love Ian Glenn's sensuous voice.

Narration perfection. Story-line perfection of what happened to the dragons. I want more of these tales.

This books was a great listen!!!

First off, i pretty much instantly fell in love with this second book. As soon as he yelled “Jersey” I knew I was in for a treat. Another great performance from the cast. The historical events are beautifully (and hilariously) brought to life. Cant wait for the next one!

More Frenemy Fun- Tesla & Edison a Highlight

This was the second Frenemies audio delight. I loved the first one-Jersey!- since it was entertaining, informative and funny. This continues in this edition. It features Tesla and Edison - my favorite, Ali and Frazier, Chanel and the Roman battle. Great cast with lots of humor. Sit back, relax, laugh and enjoy. I hope they do more. Jersey!
