Publisher's Summary

Keegan:

Sightseeing, gay bars...and if I'm lucky, maybe a couple of random hookups. That's the extent of my plans when I sign up for a European vacay with my buddies. I've never heard of this Parlaisa country - but hey - a cheap flight and two-star hotel are perfect for a poor college kid, right? And the trip turns out to be even better than I could have possibly imagined when I end up in a bar with some sexy masked guy's tongue down my throat.

And damn...what a tongue.

Even with his face partially obscured, Sexy Masked Guy can't hide those hypnotic steel blue eyes, his chiseled jawline, or the gun show he's working with under that tight T-shirt. But after our kiss, he proves to be nothing more than a cocky, dismissive a-hole. As if that isn't bad enough, flash forward - after one hell of a misunderstanding, I'm arrested by the Parlaisan royal guard and taken to a dungeon, where I learn that Sexy Masked Guy is actually Sexy Prince.

Prince Owen Hawthorne III.

Yes, I was kissing the Prince of Parlaisa!

Even worse, pics of us kissing are posted on the notorious Prince Watch blog. Prince Owen III has been unmasked by the paps, and we've both been outed. And here I had been planning to finally tell my family about my inclinations towards rainbows, glitter, and c--k as soon as I got back home to Fever Falls.

Seems like my vacation can't get any wackier, but now, Prince Owen needs a favor - a fake relationship favor. All I have to do is pretend to be his boyfriend for a good cause and some cash that I could really use right about now. But do I really want to team up with a guy who's been nothing but a prick to me in the short time that I've known him?

Of course, before I know it, I'm in too deep. Fortunately, Owen's strict "no messing around" rule will keep this from getting out of control.

Even though I can't stop thinking about how he knew exactly what he was doing with his tongue.

Even though he loves watching me prance around in my underwear.

Even though he can't get enough of me on my knees, doing what I do best.

Dammit - did we already screw this up?

Talk about a #RoyalProblem.

#Royal is part of the Fever Falls series but can be enjoyed as a stand-alone.

Great story and performance

#allthefeels 😍

This is book 4 and can be read on its own but its extra fun when you know all the other fever men. Keeg is Jace from book 2s younger brother. As the blurb says Keeg is on vaca from college and he kisses the hottie at the bar. There is insta-attraction. Said hottie tries to stay anonymous but when Keeg gets taken away by the royal guards Owen has to come clean to Keeg and they both have to tell the world once it ends up in pics online (they are both in the closet).

Once they both come out Prince Owen pays Keeg to be his strictly business bf despite their attraction in order to help with his countries view on gay marriage. How could Keeg say no to that right plus the money. So they start off on their fake strictly business relationship together which due to attraction leads to "just letting of steam kinda fun". Strictly friends with benefits ;) That's all I'll say about the plot so no spoilers except to say that something happens in around the 30% mark that I found completely amusing and loved. Keeg has his own secret ;)

I loved these 2 MCs and how they are together. Keeg comes off as a little shy and innocent (hes 19). Owen is more confident in life as a royal and 32 years old but new to being physical with a man so he has his moments as well and they are just a great match. I loved all the extra characters. As well I loved hearing more about some of the men from the previous books. All these guys are so much fun. It makes you wish you could visit. I laughed a lot. Had some almost tears and swooned a lot. It's definitely a great read.

I love Michael and he did a fabulous job on this with all the different voices the accents. I'll just say one downside to a popular narrator is that I had to keep reminding myself Lucy Lennox's Lior wasn't having an affair. 🤣🤣🤣 Other than that it was great.

A Royal Fake Romance Love Story..

#Royal by Devon McCormack is the fourth book in the Fever Falls series but can be read as a stand alone. Ithis is a fun contemporary m/m romance that has a total fake relationship turns real feel. The story made me laugh and smile with his humor and sweetness... but it deals a good amount of steam as well. Keegan and Owen are fantastic characters and I loved seeing their relationship develop and strengthen. Really enjoyed this one.

The story's Narrator is Michael Pauley and he does a fantastic job. Each character has their own unique personality that shines through with their voices and tone. The story is made even more entertaining with this audio. Clear and smooth recording.

#HotRoyal

Although this is part four of the Fever Falls Series, this CAN be read as a standalone book! And this book is not one to miss - sexy Prince, fake romance, humor and lots of steamy scenes make this book a fun and entertaining read.
Keegan is a poor college guy on a European vacation with friends who ends up almost hooking up with the Prince of a small European country. But when those Keegan and Prince Owen were making out in the bar, they didn't realize people were taking their picture. Now their picture is posted, they've been outed and Owen needs Keegan to pretend to be his boyfriend (for a good cause of course - and some cash). But despite Owen's rule of "No messing around", can these two keep their distance, or will their fake relationship become real?
This is such a fun book and one that constantly had me smiling. Keegan and Owen's interactions are just so intense, and further in the story when their interactions get steamier and sweater, you can't help love their story.
The narration is fantastic and Michael Pauley did awesome bringing their personalities and uniqueness through, while bringing these characters to life.
This is by far my favorite of the series, and I loved the audiobook so much more than ebook, because of the narrator and his performance!

Excellent Narration

Keegan is on vacation with friends and is celebrating getting ready to come out of the closet. While out at a bar in a foreign country, he meets and kisses a guy where sparks eventually fly. Owen is the prince of the country but in costume, so no one will know who he is. He has never kissed a guy before and has been very well known to sleep around with women. When he ends up kissing Keegan, things get crazy and jumbled in his head. There is miscommunication, political games, fake boyfriend turns true love, and age gap in this book. It was a good story, and it was made even better by listening to Michael Pauley narrate it. I enjoyed it.

Overshadowed

I’m typically a sucker for this trope, but this took me a while to get into. I felt myself being more interested In Casey and Steve’s story than the main characters.

Starts off "fake" becomes "real"... SURPRISE???

Starts off "fake" becomes "real"... SURPRISE??? Bet you didn't see that coming. I find this book extremely predictable right to the end. Even the plot was what you would expect. At times, I would tune out... hoping for something new and exciting. It didn't happen. I ended the book and felt... glad it's over so I can get on to next. I'm sorry. The story was way too simple for my enjoyment.

Although Michael Pauley is amazing, I felt the voice for Keegan was not appropriate; a bit too masculine for him. Regardless, Michael did an awesome job as usual.

If you are looking for a simple HEA ... well here it is! Enjoy!

Good Read

I received an ARC of this audio for my honest review. This is my first book by Devon and the first one in this series. I really enjoyed listening to this story and can't wait to read/listen to more books by Devon. Keegan goes on a trip with friends to a kingdom and when they go to a club he meets Owen. Owen thinks that Devon is going to out him since he saw him without his mask on. I liked Owen’s straight forwardness and how he was upfront about his feelings towards Keegan. This is a must read.

Great!

Loved this latest book from Devon McCormack and narrated by Michael Pauley! I love the prince/commoner trope and was happy to see that McCormack did it right! I think I missed one of the previous books in the series so I was a little behind on who some of the secondary characters were but it didn't detract from the book and stands alone fairly well. Michael Pauley does a great job with narrating this one!

Paparazzi suck!

Why can't people just mind their own business?? Keegan and Owen shouldn't have to worry about being outed if they didnt want to be. But no, there's an arrest, a dungeon (sadly not the kinky kind) and a fake relationship. Devon always makes these guys have so much personality and I love the interplay.
