Publisher's Summary

Rule number 18: Daddy’s boy will always believe in his Santa daddy.

Homeless, alone, and now jobless, Cameron Evans is lost...until he’s found, after a prominent local attorney literally trips over him when the boy is passed out from dehydration.

Scott Hendrickson has two things in life: his job as an assistant district attorney and his son Davey. Other than that, he lives alone in a house that’s too big, too empty, and too lonely.

It’s not just Cameron’s life that might change for the better when Scott takes him in. Scott can provide material things and security, but Cameron returns the favor by breathing fresh air into Scott’s stale life.

Two men who need each other and one magical holiday season. Could a little Christmas magic be all that’s needed to bring the biggest gift of all? Maybe, Cameron doesn’t need a sugar daddy because he already has a Santa daddy.

This is the third book in a series about not-so-perfect daddies, adorable “boys”, and one sassy brat with an insane list of rules.

Get ready for all the squishy holiday feels you’d want from a Susan Hawke book.

Santa Daddy

4 Blue Roses
4 Blue Flames

Narrator Michael Pauley delivered a short and fast one. I feel his delivery was not as enthusiastic as he delivered the previous two books for Davey's rules. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that this is the story about Davey's father.

I was immediately on board to hear a yummy daddy, assistant district attorney rescuing a pretty boy for himself. I love sugar daddy romances. I was a bit disappointed in the length of the book. The lack of character building. We had lots of Christmas. Christmas shopping, Christmas gifts and even a Christmas puppy. We had some kinky Santa and his elf times, but it was not as hardcore daddy-boy play, as the previous books. I suspect the author wanted to gift us with a sweet daddy-boy romance.

I recommend this audiobook, if you like something to curl up with in front of the window, while it snows outside while you enjoy a hot cup of coco.

Happy Listening

Sweet Boy Finds His Santa Daddy

I'd heard very good things about author Susan Hawke's "Davey's Rules" series, and because I heart Christmas-themed stories, I jumped into it with "Rules for Santa" (Book 3). This is a sweet age gap, hurt/comfort, slow burn romance between daddy Scott and his boy Cameron. It also features an interesting father-son dynamic between Scott and his actual son Davey, as the latter was unaware his father was bisexual and also had a daddy kink, that added a unique layer to the story.

Narrator Michael Pauley was another huge selling point in selecting this audiobook, and he delivered another terrific performance. He skillfully showcased his range in voicing the two main characters, conveying the youthful exuberance and innocence of Cameron and the maturity and gentleness of Scott, and the amusingly snarky Davey.

This was an enjoyable listen and I look forward to further exploring this series, particularly Davey's story in "Rules to Ignore" (Book 7).

a slow-burn romance for the holidays!

I wanted to read this book so bad. I tried to skip the second book because I knew I was not going to like it.unfortunately I had to go back and read it because their was important events that happened in that book that made this one that much better. This was a great holiday romance. I call it a slow burn because there were no hot and heavy scenes that were out of place. the author waited until the characters were in the correct place with not only their lives but how they felt about each other before sexy times happen. so good, my recommendation go on girl read that book!

love this!!!!

Rules for Santa is the third book in the Davey's Rules series by Susan Hawke. Cameron and Scott are absolutely perfect in this sweet and sexy love story. There is a great amount of humor, a little drama and enough romance to make my heart happy. I love this!

Michael Pauley narrates this story and does a fantastic job. Clear recording and voicework.

Got to Love Santa

There is a lot of humor to be found in this story. Poor Davey to see his father find a match as a daddy had to be so hard for the poor guy. I do love the way that Scott and Cameron just seem to fit each other.

Exactly what I needed this holiday!

I love how low angst this book was. Susan Hawke could have easily piled on the angst with Cameron and had him be all “nobody will ever love me”, but instead the first time we hear from Cameron’s perspective he’s all into being just in the company of Scott and unashamedly checking him out FROM HIS HOSPITAL BED. I absolutely loved how Scott’s need to protect and provide kicked in with Cameron. The chemistry between them was off the charts. I am here for everything going on in this book. This will def a a relisten for me for sure. Usually when I listen to an audio book I’ve already read the book but this time I just dived right in. I didn’t zone out or miss any chunks of the story line and I’m attributing that fact to Michael Pauley, who’s voice I can’t seem to get enough of. His cadence is nice and smooth. I enjoyed listening to this on a 1.0x, adjusting the speed to a faster setting lost the aspects of his storytelling that I enjoy,

That was fun!

Michael Pauley is becoming a favorite narrator to me and quickly. He made the story heavier than when I read it alone and I was crying like a baby thanks to him. But it was a lovely Christmas story and who better to write one than Susan herself? Definitely recommend to read especially after you already read the ebook. Rereading it this way gives you a whole new perspective.
