Story
Echo Ridge is small-town America. Ellery's never been there, but she's heard all about it. Her aunt went missing there at age 17. And only five years ago, a homecoming queen put the town on the map when she was killed. Now, Ellery has to move there to live with a grandmother she barely knows. The town is picture-perfect, but it's hiding secrets. And before school even begins for Ellery, someone has declared open season on homecoming, promising to make it as dangerous as it was five years ago. Then, almost as if to prove it, another girl goes missing.

Story
The drought - or the Tap-Out, as everyone calls it - has been going on for a while now. Everyone’s lives have become an endless list of don’ts: don’t water the lawn, don’t fill up your pool, don’t take long showers. Until the taps run dry. Suddenly, Alyssa’s quiet suburban street spirals into a warzone of desperation; neighbors and families turned against each other on the hunt for water. And when her parents don’t return and her life - and the life of her brother - is threatened, Alyssa has to make impossible choices if she’s going to survive.

Story
Stella Grant likes to be in control - even though her totally out-of-control lungs have sent her in and out of the hospital most of her life. At this point, what Stella needs to control most is keeping herself away from anyone or anything that might pass along an infection and jeopardize the possibility of a lung transplant. Six feet apart. No exceptions. The only thing Will Newman wants to be in control of is getting out of this hospital. He couldn’t care less about his treatments or a fancy new clinical drug trial. Will’s exactly what Stella needs to stay away from.

Story
ARTHUR is only in New York for the summer, but if Broadway has taught him anything, it’s that the universe can deliver a showstopping romance when you least expect it. BEN thinks the universe needs to mind its business. If the universe had his back, he wouldn’t be on his way to the post office carrying a box of his ex-boyfriend’s things. But when Arthur and Ben meet-cute at the post office, what exactly does the universe have in store for them? Maybe nothing. After all, they get separated. Maybe everything. After all, they get reunited.

Publisher's Summary
Winner of the 2018 Odyssey Award
An innovative audiobook production featuring more than 30 voices, Sadie explores the depth of a sister's love - poised to be the next story listeners won't be able to pause.
A missing girl on a journey of revenge and a Serial-like podcast following the clues she's left behind.
Sadie hasn't had an easy life. Growing up on her own, she's been raising her sister, Mattie, in an isolated small town, trying her best to provide a normal life and keep their heads above water.
But when Mattie is found dead, Sadie's entire world crumbles. After a somewhat botched police investigation, Sadie is determined to bring her sister's killer to justice and hits the road following a few meager clues to find him.
When West McCray - a radio personality working on a segment about small, forgotten towns in America - overhears Sadie's story at a local gas station, he becomes obsessed with finding the missing girl. He starts his own podcast as he tracks Sadie's journey, trying to figure out what happened, hoping to find her before it's too late.
Courtney Summers' Sadie is propulsive and harrowing and will keep listeners riveted until the last track.
What the critics say
"A haunting, gut-wrenching, and relentlessly compelling read. Sadie grabs you and won't let you go until you've borne witness." (Veronica Roth, number-one New York Times best-selling author of Carve the Mark and the Divergent series)
"An electrifying thriller, taut as a bowstring. A coming-of-age tale, both gritty and sensitive. A poignant drama of love and loss. This - all this - is Sadie: a novel for readers of any age, and a character as indelible as a scar. Flat-out dazzling." (A.J. Finn, number-one New York Times best-selling author of The Woman in the Window)
"Courtney Summers's powerful story of love, neglect, abuse, and revenge is narrated with irresistible urgency by Rebecca Soler and Dan Bittner, along with an ensemble of supporting narrators...this is a production that will not be forgotten." (AudioFile Magazine, Earphones Award Winner)

A complete showcase of what an audiobook can really do
No spoilers I promise but I promise you Sadie takes you on a ride that you can’t stop listening to.
You get a lush tense tight experience with Sadie and then you get a full out podcast experience in the other half of the narrative. The full cast feels like a real true crime podcast.
The last 15 mins of this book, after spending a whole night shift enthralled and focused intently, my entire body erupted in chills I was desperate to get to the end.
Give it a go, I promise you’ll be cheering for Sadie like you haven’t rooted for a character in a long time.

Great storyline...
I liked the book and appreciated the twist by the end when we find out why she was specifically looking for Keith because he had sexually abused them. The fact that you only find that out more towards the end was a twist to the story I wasn’t anticipating. But I honestly HATED the ending... I wanna know where is she????????

Refreshing
I really liked the style of this one. The podcasting portion really reminded me of Someone Knows Something by David Ridgen. The narration for Sadie was excellent, though some of the podcasting narration broke the immersion when it sounded more like actors reading off a script.
Great ending!

Exceptional Storytelling & A New Favorite
This was probably one of the best audiobooks I've ever listened to. Though I don't listen to much so the bar is set high for me now. The voice for Sadie did an excellent job with her stutter and capturing the emotion of suppressed teenage rage. This whole audiobook was phenomenal! I finished it in less time than I expected because I was both disturbed and compelled. The entire cast was believable and the story... the STORY was the best written story I've read in a long time. It has a nice blend of both thriller and mystery. Adult Thriller writers ought to take notes.

Best Audio Book I’ve Ever Listened To
I’m already a huge fan of Courtney Summers’ work, so I knew going into Sadie that I was going to love it, but this is perhaps the best audio book I’ve ever listened to. The narrators did a fantastic job at immersing me in the story, so much so that by the end of the book, I forgot it was just that—a book. This book wrecked me, and I highly recommend giving it a listen.

Seriously amazing performance!!
So I really don't know who was who but this audio was like going to the theater! I've never listened to anything like this before and I've listened to several hundred audiobooks. It was amazingly creative! I loved how you could hear the background during the podcast interviews... hearing the cafe noises or hearing people inhale and exhale while smoking.
As far as the storyline, this was a great one. It was interesting and a bit vague but ultra interesting! I do wish I had some definite answers to the story but not knowing everything makes it seem real.
