Publisher's Summary

In the aftermath of the zombie apocalypse, a lone survivor faces a grave new threat as even the undead begin to disappear, in this sequel to Mountain Man.

Ever since the end of civilization, Gus Berry has spent his days waking up, getting drunk, and preparing for the inevitable zombie attack on his mountain fortress. Occasionally, he must take his life in his hands and venture into the undead world below in search of supplies.

These days, Gus is accustomed to the mortal threats he encounters. He has steeled himself against the corpse-infested streets, human scavengers, and unending loneliness. But now something new and strange is happening: the zombies are disappearing.

It seems a mysterious new threat is assembling—something even more relentless and terrifying than the roaming tides of dead flesh. And it’s preparing to hunt . . .

Tore this series up

Read every single one except the prequels so far. I am from Nova Scotia so these books are even more enjoyable for me as I can accurately picture these areas. These books cover things I’ve been missing from other zombie / apocalypse books in the past. Really like the main character. Good stuff.

R.C. Bray is amazing

I really enjoy the narration by R.C. Bray. he has the perfect voice and dictation for this kind of novel. I have listened to every one before this as well, his voice is most of what kept me wanting more.
The story is a fairly typical zombie story, but has some twists, and humor mixed in. Definitely caught myself laughing out loud while listening a few times.
All in all, I'd say it's a solid 4-4.5 out of 5 stars.

These are so awesome

Just finished this and it is so awesome to read this sweet zombie novel that is based in my province I am from Truro and I am familiar with the Annapolis valley. It’s cool to picture it and the writer is so relatable to how I would most likely try to survive a zombie break out God I love Captain Morgan lol.
