Although much of this book has good and true information in it, there are some significantly confusing parts which to lean towards religious relativism. This is especially true with the discussion of the statement, “there is no salvation outside the church”. Not even a single church father is quoted on this statement and I would believe that many Church father's would disagree with the current interpretation in this book. There is also quite a bit of modernistic interpretation here which most traditional Catholics will find confusing.

The biggest problem here for a Catholic though is that there is not even a SINGLE chapter devoted to the significance of the Holy Eucharist in the discussion of salvation. The Eucharist, as Pope John Paul II said is the source and summit of the Catholic Life. If you are a traditionally Orthodox Catholic you will likely want to pass this book by.
