WOW. This was not what I was expecting from a sports romance. This story is beautiful and heartbreaking.
Arianna is about to start her first year of college and is lucky to be going with her close family and friends. Cameron, Ari, Brady, Chase and Mason grew up together and now share a beach house to maintain their friendship. For years she has had a massive crush on Chase. They have an intimate moment that he later deems a mistake. This causes a considerable drift in the group dynamic, affecting their first few weeks of college. She goes out one night and finds solace in Noah (the quarterback she met last summer). He brings her back to life, but Chase realizes he made a mistake. Not only does a love triangle form, but something tragic changes everyone's course.
Everyone in this book was written perfectly. Not every love story needs a villain, and that's the beauty of this book. People make bad decisions when their emotions cloud their judgment, but that doesn't make them bad people. I love Noah so much. This is the type of man I would want as a husband or friend. So well done!

There are quite a few thibgs that could be very triggering to some but this book was just beautiful. I cried a dozen times I'm sure.
Noah Rilley has claimed top spot in the book boyfriend category.
This is going to be a very hard book to top in 2024 for me.
