pleasant surprise

As the title of the book states, it covers everything you wanted to know (or not) about science education in early roman empire. Richard convey's very well his text. I am not an expert in the subject but he cites numerous sources and puts them in context, oftem comparing to the teaching of other fields or other time periods.
