 Our rakish hero, Alan Lewrie, is in trouble with his wife, condemned by his daughter, and out of favor with the Admiralty. In Haiti, L'Ouverture's forces are sacking plantations and slaughtering whites and mulattoes. The French make a hasty compact with the English, as only the English have the strength required to stop L'Ouverture and his general Dessalines. Needless to say, Lewrie finds plenty of engagements, both of the naval and the romantic kind; between white-hot battles, a bevy of international beauties sees to his every fleshly comfort. once again another fantastic book by Dewey Lambdin. the kind of book series that keeps you coming back for more. As well as to find out what kind of trouble Allan Lewery can get into. I highly recommend listening to the series.

I am enjoying each book in order. The last book was difficult but listen to each book at least twice as I find I miss some details. This book was throughly enjoyable. Good story and as always good performance by Mr. Lee. Cheers!
