Publisher's Summary

When the mark of the great warhammer Aegis-fang is found branded on the back of a vicious outlaw, Drizzt can no longer merely hope that Wulfgar is safe. The dark elf and his companions set out to find the barbarian once and for all. As they discover pieces of the puzzle their friend's life has become, Drizzt grows only more determined to locate him. As his friends search for him, Wulfgar sails with Captain Deudermont in search of the stolen Aegis-fang, now in the hands of the vile pirate Sheila Kree. But the pirate isn't willing to sit around waiting to be caught. She has other plans. Drizzt, Cattie-brie, Regis, Bruenor, and Wulfgar - the Companions of the Hall - come together for the first time since The Silent Blade in a reunion filled with discovery and adventure.

Yeah right, as if you're reading this review

If you actually are reading this review, you already must know what your getting into - it's an R A Salvator Drizz't book; you either like or dislike these books by this point. Expect this same from this one.

As always, though, Victor Bevine is a baller.

Narrator Whispers Senselessly

I listen to audiobooks at work with an open speaker. I need to keep it fairly quiet so that it doesn't annoy nearby coworkers, but I'm also hard of hearing, so a certain volume is required for me to be able to hear the narrator. This narrator is one in a series of insufferable narrators that whispers and it is infuriating. I get the irony of being HOH and using audiobooks, but I rarely have this issue except for when the company producing them seem to not understand that whispering in general is an asinine means to convey mood. Making an audio based medium harder to listen to makes zero sense. The story is bad enough as Salvatore has never grown as an author after forty years of writing the same character, but this just adds fuel to the fire. Don't buy unless you have the luxury of using headphones.

Fantastic read!!!

Another great book from R.A. Salvatore.
The book keeps you entertained from start to finish. There's a perfect balance of drama and action and it's peppered with good humor, at just the right time, to help ease the stress and seriousness of the story.
