Publisher's Summary

Best-selling author Julia Quinn flawlessly combines passionate romance with "pitch perfect humor" ( Publishers Weekly).

Miranda Cheever has been blessed with many things, but great beauty is not among them. Still, when she meets Viscount Tuner, she knows she is meant for him. As the years go by, fate is as kind to Miranda as it is harsh on the Viscount. He's skeptical about love with good reason - but he may be falling for Miranda.

Featured Article: The Bridgertons Audiobooks in Chronological Order

In a fictional Regency-era London, the Bridgerton and the Featherington families depend on the marriages of their many children. Bridgertons has won over the hearts of millions, and Julia Quinn has likened the series to "a Cinderella story." Shonda Rhimes adapted the series of romance novels into the hugely popular Bridgerton Netflix series. Although a different character inspires each volume of the series, it’s best to enjoy the saga chronologically.

narration ruined it for me

The narrator made the characters sound really mean, stupid and crazy. Hard to get love from all that. disappointed as I have really enjoyed Julia Quinns books.

Romanticizing toxic relationships

Toxic friendship, toxic family ties, toxic "love", this one was particularly infuriating. I am positively sick of the wide-eyed ingenue and her rakish, egotistical and emotionally inept POS.

Poor audio quality

I couldn’t get into the first 5 minutes due to audio quality. May try again at another point or try a different recording of the novel.

Good story…

…bad narration. This person has good reading skills but the voices she used don’t work. Miranda and Turner were okay. Everyone else sounded nasty and angry.

Bad narrator

The narrator made the male character sound way mean and menacing, and she made the female character sound meek and simple minded while she is supposed to be witty and clever. It’s really a pity as it almost sounds like a mis interpretation of the story.

Please....

Loved the book. Like everything Julia Quinn writes. But the narrator...... ugh... it was a torture. Why is this the only one Rosalyn Landor didn't read ?! Please bring her back. Would be willing to buy the book again just to hear her version ! This narrator makes everyone sound silly. And the performance.....

Great story

I really enjoyed this book, the story was ripe for the picking from the beginning. I loved Turner’s character. It was a real journey through time. Thanks Julia you did well.

One of my favs

I have read a lot of Julie Quinn’s novels but I think this is one of my top books. I love Miranda. It’s a beautiful story. I will probably listen to this book again.

Despite the recording not being the best quality, as we are used to now, Jenny did a wonderful job narrating.

Lovely listen

Intrigue and romance made this a lovely listen.
I would recommend this book if you are looking for something light but still engaging with characters you want to get to know.

Great story

Clever and whitty dialogue. Well read. Enjoyed it very much! Sped up the playback speed.
