AN INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

From Tessa Bailey#1 New York Times bestselling author, TikTok favorite, and "the Michelangelo of dirty talk" (Entertainment Weekly)comes a spicy small town rom-com about a grumpy professor and the bubbly neighbor he clashes with at every turn...

Hallie Welch fell hard for Julian Vos at fourteen, after they almost kissed in the dark vineyards of his family’s winery. Now the prodigal hottie has returned to Napa Valley, and when Hallie is hired to revamp the gardens on the Vos estate, she wonders if she'll finally get that smooch. But the starchy professor isn’t the teenager she remembers and their polar opposite personalities clash spectacularly.

One wine-fueled girls’ night later, Hallie can’t shake the sense that she did something reckless—and then she remembers the drunken secret admirer letter she left for Julian. Oh shit.

On sabbatical from his ivy league job, Julian plans to write a novel. But having Hallie gardening right outside his window is the ultimate distraction. She’s eccentric, chronically late, often literally covered in dirt—and so unbelievably beautiful, he can’t focus on anything else. Until he finds an anonymous letter sent by a woman from his past.

Even as Julian wonders about this admirer, he’s sucked further into Hallie’s orbit. Like the flowers she plants all over town, Hallie is a burst of color in Julian’s grayscale life. For a man who irons his socks and runs on tight schedules, her sunny chaotic energy makes zero sense. But there’s something so familiar about her... and her very presence is turning his world upside down.

"Tessa Bailey is the queen of rom-coms. Long may she reign!"—Julie Murphy, #1 New York Times bestselling author of A Merry Little Meet Cute

Loved it

As a Tessa lover, I loved it. I wish there was a male narrator for Julien though. The story would flow easier if there was. But loved the storyline.

OK only. Didn’t want to finish the story

Not the same calibre as other Tessa Bailey stories. The narrator sounded whiny in my ears.

It was almost great

The performance was better than the novel… but gosh this was kinda annoying. Tessa Bailey needs to stop with the older virgin girl trope… it’s exhausting. Also the final like issue at the end of the novel… SO OVER DONE for nothing…

Easy read, cute story

I actually really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed it the way I would enjoy a Christmas movie. Was it cheesy? Yes. But I got through this relatively fast and found myself rooting for the characters.

2 1/2 Stars - Not Tessa Bailey's Best

Sometime a narrator can elevate a just okay story but with Secretly Yours this is not the case. Caille Dalton should never be used in a story where an English accent is required - EVER!!! This was a difficult one to finish.

Cannot stand the speaker/ No story line

This book has zero storyline, it is all smut and sex scenes, which just isn’t my taste. It wasn’t the absolute worst book but nothing caught my attention, I’m glad it’s over.

Disappointed

I wanted to like this but it just kept missing the mark. I had the turn it to double speed to finish it off.

Annoying and original

The writer’s similes and metaphors actually made my eyes roll. It was predictable and the narrator’s voice sounded annoying and intoxicated pretty well the whole time. I was hoping it would get better near the end but for sure no. Had high hopes I like the idea of curvy girls romance.

I had a great time

Clearly I'm among the minority here, but I loved this book! I'll even go as far to say this is my favourite Tessa Bailey book.

Disappointing

I’ve listened to a few Tessa Bailey books and have generally liked them. This was VERY basic, and felt like too much was happening at the same time. The secret letters were unnecessary to the plot and the protagonist had potential for some depth but the letters plot line just stole from her narrative.
