Publisher's Summary

He's beautiful, with gray eyes, tall, chocolate...and he's worth fighting for.

Meet Omari, a gorgeous, hardworking 28-year-old man from the South Side of Chicago. No matter how hard he works at his job at UPS, it is never enough to take care of himself and his long-term girlfriend. After continuous pressure from his older cousin, Ching, Omari finally trades in busting his ass for working under Ching, hustling three major blocks on the West Side.

All is good as Omari juggles work and the drug game - until Ching involves him in the murder of someone who ends up being the governor's nephew. As he dodges homicide detectives, Omari is also trying to dodge getting caught between two loves. He's been committed to Aeysha for seven years but is falling more each day for Simone, an older, more established woman who is at his beck and call.

After years of playing the side chick, Simone finally finds love that she thinks is all her own. Just as she settles in to loving Omari, she finds out about Aeysha, and her desperate mind begins to plot how to finally win her man. Simone's best friend, Tammy, thinks Simone is crazy, and she herself is running from an obsessed ex-boyfriend who is persistent in trying to kill her. Tammy lives in hiding for months as she asks herself this burning question: How can a man love a woman with the same hands that he is willing to kill her with?

As the murder investigation leads to arrests, the walls come down on these lovers. Murder, sex, and indictments lead to unforeseen tragedy and unexpected love.

Awful

I’m not sure what the point of this book was/is. This is a book full of awful people. No one is the friend they appear to be. Tammi and Simone were fake friends. Ebony was a fake friend to Aisha. Omari is an awful cheat, and a serious punk. All I can say is that Simone is so f#*%^ up. I hated being in the head of such a despicable person. I felt physically ill being in her head and seeing her actions. I have to admit that I didn’t see the end coming. Now, I’m forced to get the next one.

Juicy!

This book actually held my attention the entire time, which is usually difficult if I can’t get into the narrator’s voice or something. Not to spoil the plot or anything, I really hated the hell out of the main characters with the exception of Ayesha..well...her too a little because she was too dumb to leave Omari’s constantly cheating ass! But under her circumstances, I understood why to a certain degree. I really hated Omari and I feel like he deserves a low down, larcenous bish and not a good woman like Ayesha. And that Simone is a cum thirsty, d-hungry, sadistic BIATCH! But yea, all the main characters are grimy AF lol

Very good book but sheesh... So emotional

This book, is actually good. Man Simone had me feeling all types of emotions lol she makes me not want to finish the other books in the series.I already know, I'm a want to continue the rest of the series to. I just knew Omari womanwas going to get killed while pregnant.The killer is either Simone, Ebony, or Ching friends.I'm so irritated I hate reading books that has babies, children and teens killed. I'm alsolike what happen to the baby over and over.Plus, I also felt bad for Tammi, I knew she was going to die anyway so or later.I hope Omari don't end up with that psycho.Capone, and Omari actually going to end up in that drug game hard watch especially after his woman died. I was happy to here his daughter lived I'm like thank God.While, I'm over hear listening to this book like um hello did she live? Glad she did.
I'm just rolling my eyes and shaking my head like this ninja here.Smh...
Ending had me like  see I just knew. Why? Because I figured Simone had something to do with Ayesha murderand not only Ayesha, Tammi murder too. I hope they mope the floor with that weave of her psychopath self lol. I know I don't like snitches, Chance need to snitch on that hoe thot lol. Cause whoosh I never lol.

Terrible

Obviously based on the title. I knew the book would be somewhat raggedy. But let me tell you it is beyond. Every stereotype you can imagine. What was really off putting was the colorism and the narrator.
