Publisher's Summary
From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Susan Stoker comes a new story in her SEAL of Protection: Legacy Series...
Over the years, Storm North has witnessed two teams of Navy SEALs under his command find true love. He doesn’t expect the same for himself. He’s too old. Too jaded. Too set in his ways. Until a woman who’s been right in front of him for years manages to impress Storm in a way very few women - or men - ever have.
Jane Hamilton knows it’s ridiculous to have a crush on the charismatic and handsome commander. She’s the divorced mother of a twenty-six-year-old daughter. Too old for crushes. Too old for a lot of things. There’s no chance she’ll ever catch the eye of a man like Storm North.
Until someone delivers a bomb to the base.
As the civilian contractor in charge of the mail room, Jane finds herself in the direct line of fire, enduring a series of events that leads to a budding relationship with the very man she’s been longing for. She couldn’t be happier, and Storm feels the same.
The only one unhappy, in fact, is the thwarted bomber. Unhappy enough to do something drastic. Now Storm and Jane have to work together to save innocent sailors - and themselves - from an explosive situation threatening their happily ever after.
**Securing Jane is the 7th book in the SEAL of Protection: Legacy Series and a part of the 1001 Dark Nights collection. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.
**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new listeners, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

Loved the older characters
I absolutely loved that these chsracters are older, more relatable to me. Jane and I have some things in common so it was easier for me to relate and settle in to the story. I am new to audible, but loved the narrators efforts to audibly help the listener know who was speaking.

Like this story, can’t stand the narration
The novellas do not have the depth or excitement of Miss Stoker‘s full length books, but I enjoyed this one, especially since it is about older heroes and heroines. And it’s probably more me than the majority, but I never would have bought this at full price, knowing who the narrator was. Her voice, to me, is worse than nails on a chalkboard. Which is unfortunate, since she also narrates a couple of other authors that I enjoy. But if the narration doesn’t fit, it’s impossible to fully enjoy an audible version of a great book.

Sweet ending to the Seal of Protection series
Securing Jane is the 7th and last book of Susan Stoker’s SEAL of Protection: Legacy Series and it is also a part of the 1001 Dark Nights collection by M.J. Rose, Liz Berry, and Jillian Stein.
Susan Stoker takes us through the story of Commander Storm North, a character who we have gotten to know through the different men and women making up the author’s writing career focused on the United States military and special forces.
Storm feels like he is too old to find love. Jane thinks that she is too old to have a crush on the base commander. It will take an attempted bombing for them to realize that they can have a future together.
This was a sweet and well-deserved ending to the Seal of Protection Series, and one that I have been waiting for since Susan Stoker introduced him to her readers. Savannah Peachwood’s narration, as usual, was on point, as she is one of my favorite book narrators for Susan Stoker’s books.
Thank you to both Susan Stoker and Savannah Peachwood for bringing to life another wonderful story!

it's Ok. Just OK.
This could have been a good story if the author had written the male part like the way a man actually talks( or doesn't, more to the point) instead of how a woman would like him to emote which made it unbelievable. She wrote him loquacious and spouting all these feelings. This is a Seal, an Admiral, career military trained that loose lips sink ships, not some emotional girl expressing all their feelings that they just discovered having for someone they just noticed for less than 24 hours. I liked that the characters were older, and as I've aged, I don't want or need all the sex scenes to make a good story and that was good too, I jumped over a lot because it was just more of the same and finally just listened to the epilogue. Should have started there. Otherwise, it's barely an average read, certainly not outstanding.

I really liked this story. I have not read the books that this is based on and I had no problem following the story! I liked that this had an h that was 51 years old and an H that was 47. I’m tired of the 22 year old virgin that so many stories have. A real life story!

Love for Everyone
If you're reading this book, you're more than likely a Susan Stoker fan. And none of her characters are young considering the point they are all at in their service, but it's nice to catch up with the older people on base too. The fact that Jane finally gets to have the man she's always wanted, even after a rather embarrassing day at work, makes getting older not feel to bad. Storm North finally wakes up one day to realize Jane might have a little crush on him which is good because he feels the same. The best part of these novellas is that it's not like the characters don't already know each other, so there doesn't have to be a big build up. I appreciate getting into the mystery part once the romantic parts are established. Since this is a novella, I can re-listen to it all the time for a happy pick me up. Bombs, explosions and a standoff - just another day in the life of working on a military base.
