Publisher's Summary

A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint...

She has a plan. He's about to change it.

Regan Wakefield is a headhunter in both name and personality: driven, motivated, and unafraid to pursue what - and who - she wants. Naturally, she's thrilled when her friend's wedding offers her an opportunity to score Logan McCade, the practically perfect best man. Unfortunately, groomsman Brock McNeil keeps getting in her way, riling her up in the most delicious of ways. But Brock's smooth southern charm isn't part of the plan...so how exactly did they end up having searing-hot sex? Regan may pretend the erotic electricity sparking between them is merely a distraction, but Brock knows better. She refuses to see beyond the devil-may-care facade he presents to the world, while he sees straight through hers. Changing her mind - and getting under her skin - is a challenge he can't resist. And when he wins, Brock will do whatever it takes to convince Regan that the best man for her is him.

What?

Do hipsters really behave this way? I just can't buy into a heroine so narcissistic and immature and cold-fish mean as Regan. Not to mention dumb enough to go hiking in the woods in 6 inch heels. If a romance novelist reversed her protagonists gender roles and had a hero behave the way this heroine does he'd be booed off the page as an irredeemable loser. Doesn't work as a romance no matter which one of the pair is a jerk.

Narrator did a great job with what she had to work with.

Suprisingly Good

A couple of members of my current cadre chose this one; probably just to gaze upon the abs of the cover model. At $1.95 it didn't seem like that big a deal either way so i added to my wish list and eventually purchased it for them; it turned out to be money well spent. A nice little piece of romantic about two people overly effected by their childhood circumstances.
Regan, the female protagonist never does anything without a plan. Our male lead Brock likes to affect an attitude of the laid back underachiever and a man like that has no place in her future.
So here we have a pretty archetypal setup for way too many romance novels; the only thing that can save this stereotypical plot is likable characters that engage our support. Which is exactly what the author has managed to do. Well that and tell a pretty good story; one that manages to create quite a few likable characters as well as several good story lines; Reed and Sophie are particularly good additions to the book. The groom Colton has a good buddy speech for Brock as well; the kind that only works coming from someone you love and who you know loves you. In the end of course everything is tied up nicely.
It's an excellent bargain purchase well worth the price.

Narration of the southern accent not great at all.

Would you try another book from Katee Robert and/or Jessica Wortham?

Yes by Katee Robert but I'm probably not going to if it's being narrated by Jessica Wortham. Sorry. Don't want to spend my money on it and not know if it is any good or not. Sorry.

Did Jessica Wortham do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

The narrator did a good job except for Brock's character. It really would have been a lot better without the crappy accent. It was way to slow and distracting. Hope this is the only time it happens, would hate to buy another book and get the same results.

Was Seducing the Bridesmaid worth the listening time?

It was a decent book but had a hard time focusing on what was being said when the fake unnatural southern male accent was narrated by this woman. She should have just narrated it in her regular voice. It would have sounded much better.

OMG!!!!

The narrator did a TERRIBLE job with the male voices. I thought it was my 80 year old neighbor. Now I must listen to another book and get the voice out of my head. However I did enjoy the story.

Seducing the Bridesmaid

Regan and Brock met at their friends' wedding! And though their interactions start off antagonistic, they soon find they have quite the spark. A few hang ups, a foiled plan, and some miscommunication later, they have their big fight. Then a HFN. There's really not much more to it than that. The writing was good. The wedding dare series defines all that I love about the brazen titles. It has everything included to make its readers, blush, swoon, and smile whilst keeping the enjoyment at a loveable level. I can't help but adore these books and I'm thoroughly impressed that these authors have come together to create a series that flows so well. As for 'seducing the bridesmaid' Katee Robert has certainly proved her worth amongst this talented group of authors and I'm already desperate to see what the next author will bring to this already fabulous series. Readers who love sexy combined with easy reading will love this book, go grab it on release day. Enjoy ... Kisses! In addition, the secondary characters definitely had some things going on between them. Sure, I know that there is more than enough for me to continue reading the series, frankly. I would call this a comfortable read. No real surprises but it still gives you the elements you look for in romance.

Brock and Regan rock!

Loved Brock and Regan's story! Brock is the supposedly playboy southern gent that's every woman's dream. He takes one look at Regan and knows she's trouble but he can't help himself. Regan, determined to stay away from the playboy keeps coming up short as everywhere she turns, Brock is there. He's determined to take down her walls to see the real Regan but Regan definitely gives him a run for his money! Little does she know, there is more to Brock besides his hot body, adorable smile, and southern charm but she's about to find out!

Nice and sweet

I like the story but it lost itself a little in the ending, it kinda lost its fevor... but still loved hearing it over it was fun and made laugh and smile many times... the performance made me feel everything but i had some disagreements in some parts about how it should sound, they weren't many though...

I love Katee Robert, But

Prequel and 1st book in and the narrators are awful

The accent. It was so incredibly terrible. If you can’t do the accent, don’t. I’m from the south, and this was almost offensive.

I have disliked many FMCs and this one is up there. I don’t know if it’s because the story is shorter so there wasn’t time to be nuanced, but she was a raging, awful, b@tch. He should have told her to F off. As someone said, had this been an MMC, he would be irredeemable.

I’m glad I stuck it out, and love love the author, this was a tough one
