Publisher's Summary

Talent, energy, dedication, discipline, passion, innovation, education, drive, mind, body, spirit, vision, honor, truth, and drums make the man: Kenny Aronoff. Voted by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the greatest drummers of all time, Aronoff is arguably the most sought-after recording and touring beat master ever. Ignited by the Beatles' appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, Aronoff's passion for drumming fervently grew and carried him from the kit in his childhood living room in the Berkshires to Bernstein at Tanglewood to Mellencamp, Etheridge, Forgerty, Smashing Pumpkins, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles - his heroes - and beyond.

But none of this would have been possible without his fierce work ethic and unique approach to drumming - an integration of all parts of his being, along with meticulous attention to note-for-note detail, feel, and what the song needs. Both a leader and a team player in the mission to realize a greater good - an unforgettable recording, a riveting show - Aronoff brings it every time. His tale of what is possible with unrelenting dedication to one's bliss is an inspiration to all.

Contains mature themes.

Super nice guy and super great book. What an incredible life, thanks for sharing!
Kenny also reads with a ton of enthusiasm which adds to the storytelling. He sounds like he was given the golden ticket and he loves it.

You Rock Rock Rock, ROCK ROCK!

This book shows a level of drive and determination unparalleled with any of the musicians and drummer auto biographies I have read. I love audio books where the author also does the narration. It adds another level of connection with the story. Kenny is so much more than just a drummer, his education history plus the willingness to continue learning and evolving is truly inspiring. This book could be so much more than 12 hours long. I would listen for another 12 hours if they were available. Kenny you rock rock rock rock rock! This book is as much a motivational speaker presentation as it is an awesome collection of stories from the music world. Thank you Kenny.

incredible life, energy, ability, drive,& ethic

I'm not sure this book would appeal too much to anyone that doesnt play an instrument, or love musician bio's.. but I thought it was awesome, and i've been a fan of Kenny's work for many many years.
The only thing about the book that is, kind of, hard to follow is when Kenny reads the name of the person he's quoting and continues reading as he has before with no transition between the "john" quote and when Kenny is in first person again..
small detail.. but very noticeable.

still loved it .. thanks for putting it out there Kenny
