In this novel Erdrich artfully unpacks a relationship between two people that is twisted uniquely. It gives the reader a deep understanding of the ties that bind and the ties that bond. Psychologically deep and sometimes dark. Shadow tag is well titled.

Not a story for everyone . I loved it.

Narrators voice was good, easy to listen to. Really don't like the story though. Had to read it for Eng 100. Kind of depressing reading about a family that slowly destroys itself.
