Loved the first two books

After I got used to the different style (3rd person vs. 1rst person) I really did enjoy this book. It had lots of edge-of-your-seat moments and I will get the 4th book.

Weakest entry in an otherwise awesome series

JL Bourne choose to alter his writing style for this 3rd book in the series. Changing from strictly 1st person as in the first two amazing novels to a style of jumping back and forth between 1st and 3rd person doesn’t exactly work. It was as if he was trying to tell to many stories and ended up creating a big mess.
Thankful for all the other entries after this novel he returned to his strong 1st person writing style.
Certainly questions and the incredible set up from the previous book ‘Beyond Exile(the best, strongest and probably scariest) are kinda thrown to the wind in this novel. To say disappointed doesn’t even hit the heart of it.
Books 1 and 2 I’d give a solid 5 out 5. This 3rd book I’d give a 3 out of 5 to be generous.

Excellent book !

I’ve enjoyed this series for years. This book continues the amazing story from the first and second books ! Some people find the change from first to third person a bit weird but I was fine with It. I liked how the story expanded and the new groups of people you learn about. Great read.
