Publisher's Summary

There is a plot to kidnap Queen Victoria and only Sherlock Holmes can stop it...or can he?

Investigating a crime seemingly unconnected to the Royal Family, Holmes & Watson uncover a conspiracy to kidnap Queen Victoria and destabilise the British Empire.

With a ticking clock to her next public engagement, Holmes and Watson must discover who is behind the plot and locate her majesty, while Mycroft tries to keep the monarch’s disappearance a secret from the British people.

At first, Holmes believes Moriarty is responsible for the abduction, but when the Napoleon of Crime is proved innocent, Holmes must work with his arch-nemesis to rescue the Queen.

Catalog of pastiche sins

If you were making a bingo card of common elements in bad Holmes pastiches, this has them all: Mycroft, Moriarty, the Baker Street Irregulars — and an action movie plot instead of a mystery. Instructive about what to avoid when writing a Holmes and Watson story

What a Terrific Twisted Tale

I caught so many references eluding to many Sherlock Holmes and Watson Adventures that treated the reader as clever and with some of the drivel being published these days this reader found this twisted tale terrific. I thought the Voice Actors were some of the best I’ve ever heard after listening to Audible and other stories for a lot of years now. More please

Great story

Really great addition to the canon. This was the first time I had listened to an audio play rather than an audio book so it took me a little while to get used to the different format. The strong performances of Dr Watson and Moriarty I think really held my interest. The writing of Moriarty especially. Holmes of course was the jerk we have grown to know and love or be challenged by. Really interesting take on the story of Watson’s view on their friendship. Well worth the time.

Good Grief. Royals so unconvincing. 🙄

Star rating inconsistent with reviews. Again.

The story premise is weak and Holmes is scotch taped to the plot. He deserves better. Shame.

Simply Magnificent

It is fascinating to see how effective dramatized audio is at displaying the world with sounds.

The voice of Treason. Sherlock Homes

Story was excellent. Actors were great. Did not like the going back and forth from past to present in story. I found it quite confusing. I realize the reason for it and actors did wonderful job, but I still found it difficult to keep thread of main story.
