Publisher's Summary

Infused with Carrie Fisher’s trademark incisive wit and perfectly poised on the heels of Wishful Drinking's instant New York Times best-selling success, Shockaholic takes listeners on another rollicking ride into her crazy life.

Told with the same intimate style, brutal honesty, and uproarious wisdom that placed Wishful Drinking on the New York Times best-seller list for months, Shockaholic is the juicy account of Carrie Fisher’s life, focusing more on the Star Wars years and dishing about the various Hollywood relationships she’s formed since she was chosen to play Princess Leia at only 19 years old. Fisher delves into the gritty details that made the movie - and herself - such a phenomenal success, admitting, "It isn’t all sweetness and light sabers."

Love Carrie.

Delightful, captivating, and clever. Carrie Fisher never disappoints. She’s got great stories and her point of view is refreshing. Down to earth - no big dramatic aha moments. Just real, raw and honest.

So insightful and funny

Carrie Fisher is a great story teller. I’ve read all her books.

I devour her stories up and then I am sad that I over indulged. But then I reread them a couple years later amd they are just as funny and interesting as the first time.

Now with audible I am listening to them all over again but hearing them in Ms. Fisher’s voice! It has been an entirely new experience when you hear her inflection, her tone, her incredible humour come through.

A bonus in this book, if you have father issues, read this book. It helps knowing you, your siblings, your kids, and/or maybe your mom are not alone. The world is full of Eddy Fisher type dads.
