Publisher's Summary

Charley is a cleaner by day and a professional gambler by night. She might be haunted by her tragic past but she's never thought of herself as anything or anyone special. Until, that is, things start to go terribly wrong all across the city of Manchester. Between plagues of rats, firestorms, and the gleaming blue eyes of a sexy Scottish werewolf, she might just have landed herself in the middle of a magical apocalypse. She might also be the only person who has the ability to bring order to an utterly chaotic new world.

Excellent book and well read. It’s storyline will keep you listening long into the night.

Any story? Exact opposite. While everyone is entitled to their opinions I have to say I was surprised by that rating. I’m not that much into fantasy but I have to say this is either a great beginning, or as my significant other says, shes impressed how well
Written and voiced. BTW she’s very much into fantasy and got me into this book. The woman’s voice is also perfect for the storyline. The other two books continue in fine form and changes the story to a bit of a detective novel. Well written, well voiced and d the second and third in the series flow together so well they could be one book. Five out of five in our opinion.

Interesting so far

The first book of this series was interesting enough yet I’m not sure what her background story of getting her first kiss as her little brother dies was relevant for the storyline.

She grows up to be a cleaner for the police and gambler at night. Until one day she runs into a fairy & wear wolf 🐺 then her roommate turns into some Australian shifter.

The fairy had apparently put a magical item when they ran into each other so now she’s experiencing magical powers.

A loan shark that was gunning for her before magic took over their city seems to be still after her now in this post apocalyptic world they are living in. As smart humans got out of the city before the government locked it down the criminals chose to stay in this new magical place to try and take things over.

There’s a battle at the end and the city is then split in two north & south
