Story
In 2059, two vastly different groups of people portrayed by the compelling trio of Brendan Fraser (Academy Award winner), Luke Kirby (Emmy Award winner), and Vanessa Sears (Dora Award winner) undergo cryonic suspension. While their bodies are frozen, their minds, still active and awake, are uploaded into a massive quantum computer. The first group are all astronauts, about to leave Earth on a one-way interstellar colonization mission. The second group consists of convicted murderers and volunteers who elect to serve their sentences in a virtual-reality prison.

Story
The human race is all but extinct after a war with Partials - engineered organic beings identical to humans - has decimated the population. Reduced to only tens of thousands by RM, a weaponized virus to which only a fraction of humanity is immune, the survivors in North America have huddled together on Long Island while the Partials have mysteriously retreated. The threat of the Partials is still imminent, but, worse, no baby has been born immune to RM in more than a decade. Our time is running out.

Great to hear it from Crosby himself
If you're a hockey fan definitely give it a listen! The perspective was very Pittsburgh centric for a hockey player who is so much more than just a Penguin. I understand the focus though.

By the end of this audible I felt like I was part of Sid the Kid’s family. It was so emotional and triggered past family memories for myself. My husband was shocked to hear that I was listening to this book. Great work I just became another fan.

A must listen for any Penguins fan.
If you’ve been watching hockey for a while now or have been following Crosby’s career since the beginning then you probably already know a lot of what’s discussed in this audiobook but it gives a nice insight into Crosby and others thought process at the time. One thing I couldn’t help thinking however while listening is how well this audiobook would have worked as a documentary, either split into 2 parts or as just one long 4hr documentary. There’s lots of discussions and moments that I feel would have benefited from having visuals however you can still get a lot out of this audiobook even if you are struggling to visualize what’s being discussed. As my title for this review suggests, if you’re a Pens fan this is a must listen in my opinion and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Wow
Well worth the listen. Loved it from beginning to end. I have always been a Sidney fan being from the Maritimes but I appreciate him even more now that I better understand his rookie year and the sacrifices made. Had the privilege to see him play in person in Montreal and although I am a Canadien’s fan, I did not mind them losing to Sid. Recommend this audible to all hockey lovers.
