Publisher's Summary

This bad-boy hockey player is about to meet his match....

Falling down is an accident. Staying down is a choice. Going down is a career-changer...that's the one I did.

How was I supposed to know that the NHL's toughest enforcer, the Red Wings' laundry room, and one security video would be my downfall?

I've spent more time in the penalty box than any other player in the NHL, but this time I really screwed up. How was I supposed to know that one night and one choice would be worse than all of my transgressions on the ice? Now, I've lost my team, my sponsors, and my publicist. For most people, it's bend or break. For me, it's melt or harden. My decision became obvious when I walked into my new PR firm, and she was sitting behind the desk.

Contains mature themes.

Their antagonistic behavior towards each other.

The epilogue is confusing. Are they engaged or married? It flips back and forth and makes no sense.

Fun book!

The love/hate relationship between the two MC's is intriguing and passionate! I enjoyed the roller coaster of fun reading and emotion.

Canadians Don't Say Aboot

My biggest beef is Canadians (on average) do not talk in that Hollywood-stylized "eh? Aboot" etc. It was off-putting and pulled me out of the story. The whole other story arc between Zoe and Andre is delightfully fun and amusing. Their relationships with each other and their friends are entertaining and makes you feel they are real people out there.

Not all Canadians talk like that!

I really enjoyed the story and the series, but only a very small amount of eastern Canadians talk like that. I found it super annoying and a gross exaggeration. I didn’t find that aspect funny or enjoyable. I also wanted to suggest different narrators for different characters.

Still a really great listen and would recommend the series.

Great story

My only complaint is the two narrators. If you’re using two people, they shouldn’t be imitating the other characters voice during the speaking parts even when the story is being read from their perspective. I’d rather listen to 1 narrator do 2 voices than listen to 2 doing 4 different voices. The only “fix” would be to re record the dialogue in the other persons voice, then we’d be left with two voices instead of 4.
