I loved the story line and the characters. I enjoy the war time stories and can only imagine the heartache when loved ones fought in the war a d were gone for years with little to no wor.

I’m a great fan of Jean Grainger’s books. I even enjoy re-listing to her audio books and regret that some of her books are not audio books as the voices enhance each book. Love the different family dynamics and feel their joys, fear and pains as I listen. Waiting for the next book to come out.

I listened to this story for a second time, now realize it truly is a deep heartfelt story that brought my soul much healing. I now understand what some of my ancestors endured as they lived and served during this era.
