This will be great for a video production
This is the first and only book I've consumed about Bob Marley and it was amazing. I feel like there was so much I missed that I need to listen to this again.
One problem I had was following who was which individual the narrator was quoting. It can get challenging after a while to keep track of the various individuals point of view. This is the main reason I think this production will be so much better if it was a video with a series of interviews.
Nevertheless, I enjoy this book and will be listening to it again.

Nicely-Compiled Recollections..
..but not very insightful.
Reggae archivist Roger Steffens gathers published statements and interviews from friends, family, bandmates, and music industry colleagues.. stringing them together to generate a chronological outline of a legendary cultural icon's life - from hardscrabble obscurity in Trench Town (Kingston) to international stardom, an assassination attempt, and an untimely death from cancer. The excerpts are well-compiled, and the connections are intuitive.. but not particularly edifying.
Likewise unfortunate, Roger Steffens does an "adequate" job, at best, reading his book. Judiciously, he avoids impressions and "Carribean" accents when reading quotes and patois - and his diction, timbre, and cadence are creditable - but Highbridge Audio would have done better insisting on a professional reader for the project.
Altogether, 'So Much Things To Say' is an effective compilation of reminiscences from people who knew and loved Bob Marley (and debunks some myths quite effectively).. but they're not particularly valuable for understanding the man. I rate it 6.5 stars out of 10.
The audiobook is worth a listen as a 'Plus' selection.. but better options beckon for your Credit should they ask for one.
[Incidentally: Most of this book is a series of perspectives on familiar events in Bob Marley's life.. but I had no idea that 'U2' was part of Island Records's stable or that they considered 'The Wailers' a major musical influence.]
