Publisher's Summary

A war is brewing in the Empire.

Not the War in the East - that is a war everyone already knows about, the war that some wanted to end so badly that they murdered an Emperor to stop it. No, this is a different war. A war between the Shadowlands and the mortal world, a war between light and darkness. A war the Brotherhood of Culo has warned about for generations. But no one wanted to listen.

And as war brews, an Empress in exile struggles to regain her crown, and the warrior sworn to protect that Empress fights to make it back to her. Yet the warrior faces an enemy which even she, the Empire’s greatest living sword master, may not be able to defeat: The warrior battles time itself.

And time is running out for the soldiers of the House of Dorsa.

The shadows are coming. Can you hear them?

This is book two in a series of three. Listen to Princess of Dorsa first!

Sleep the only thing that stopped me from finishing this book in one sitting

If there’s a merciful higher being then there will be another book I’m so invested in this story and how it ends that I’d be crushed if just ended now the characters storytelling and everything about this was pure magic

Adventure and Excitement

Exciting and complex. Well developed character stories within a multilevel storyline. Excellent read. Looking forward to reading the next book.

Excellent Novel

Much better than the first book definitely less cheese, the author has gotten much better. The story is engaging and the ending is not rushed at all. The story is ended well with an opening for the next book while not leaving a horrible cliff hanger. I wish the next book was already out I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. The narrator was a good choice.

Waste of time and rip-off of Lord of the Rings...

I can't be the only person who recognized a striking similarity to J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings here. The names of the characters have changed but their stories and descriptions are near identical. The first book was decent, a somewhat entertaining but otherwise beginner level read. I was excited to have a fantasy series with strong female lead characters only to be let down with the simplicity and predictability of the story. That being said, I could put that aside for a book that could be listened to while multitasking without fear of missing some major plot twist. I would say though what upset me about this book was the near plagiarized story-line from Lord of the Rings. I was so disappointed that I not only decided to write a review, which I never do, but also requested a refund. One would think that whom ever edited this book would have noticed the likeness to LOTR and pointed it out to the author. All in all, the first book was cute but left me wanting so much more from the characters. This book "Soldier of Dorsa", is in my opinion a complete failure in plot, original characters, delivery and an overall waste of time. The author should be advised to come up with new character story-lines and leave classic's like LOTR's alone.

Fantastic. Highly recommend.

I could not stop listening! As with the first book in this series, I feel that we’ve finally been given a LGBQT storyline that is well written, brilliantly creative/entertaining, and had zero cringeworthy pandering gay moments that are so prevalent in this sub-genre. Also, I had to admit to my wife that I have a HUGE crush on Jocelyn. When does the movie/tv show come out?!

So long but so good.

I love the characters! There’s so much character development. I’d like to know where the author got the sword dance from. I want to see what these stances looks like. Overall it’s a fantastic series. I hope there’s another book. I didn’t get enough of Jocelyn and Tasha together.
