Publisher's Summary

When a psychic tells Natalie Nixon her life is about to be upended by a mysterious stranger, she laughs it off. After all, she has everything she's ever wanted - a successful bakery, the perfect boyfriend, and the keys to her dream house. Who could possibly make her want to throw all that away?

Then Miles Haas comes back to town. But he's no stranger - they've known each other since high school. Plus he's around only for the summer, he's still a shameless playboy, and he makes a living writing articles for a men's magazine with titles like "Should You Bang the Boss' Daughter? A Flowchart" and "Butt Stuff for Beginners: A Field Guide".

Except he makes her laugh like no one else, smells like heaven, and wears those panty-melting glasses. But he's not the man of her dreams, and she's not about to abandon everything she's worked so hard for just for a little fun. She's not that crazy...or is she?

IT'S FUN, HOT, ADDICTIVE & A SWEET LOVE STORY

This is a really enjoyable light friends to lovers story - Natalie and Miles grew up together, have shared so many memories and, as adults, realize the other's strengths and flaws. Natalie is loving, determined, single-minded and successful, she's got her own Bakery, owns her own house and has had one boyfriend for the last ten years.... but she's hoping that he'll be popping the question real soon. Deep down Natalie knows things aren't right between them but she thinks it will change..... well it does but not in the way she was thinking because her best friend Miles comes back into her life just when she needs him most.

Miles is a handsome, funny, no strings Playboy who writes blogs all about his many and varied sexcapades and, although he's always fantasized about Natalie, he's never done anything about it because she wants the whole marriage, white picket fence, love and babies life and he's just exactly where he wants to be - carefree, loving life and with definitely no commitments. But when Natalie needs cheering up he's there to help and it's not long before the sexual chemistry that's been simmering between them for years dramatically boils over.... and the outcome is a sexfest that neither one was expecting.... but both thoroughly enjoyed. However, Miles can't see himself changing even though he loves Natalie and Natalie doesn't want to change Miles even though she loves him too - sentiments that neither one shared with the other.... but then the impossible happens that changes everything.

This was such a fun listen and very very sexy too as these two lovers enjoyed dirty talking, witty banter and a close bond that only they were destined to destroy. It was light, didn't have a lot of angst and was slightly predictable but even that didn't spoil this charming and oh so addictive listen. They were soul-mates and perfect for each other but both of them had to bend a little before either of them could see it. There was romance, lots and lots of sex with a bit of lighthearted bondage/spanking and tender times too as these two childhood friends finally turned their relationship into a loving lifelong commitment with a sweet HEA. Loveable main characters, two close loving Sisters and the update of Skylar and Sebastian's wedding (book 1). Told from both POV's, the narration was really good and this could easily be a standalone listen.... but book 1 is equally as good too.

Worth a credit? A contemporary feel good romance that I grinned my way through and left me with a smile on my face... so YES, IMO, a very creditworthy listen.

Some sort of awesome!

This "Some Sort Of" series is such a fun and easy listen. It still has angst but not the "biting your nails" kind of angst, more like the "oh I hope they end up together" angst.

Happy endings and witty writing are written all over this series and I'm absolutely in love with it.

Nelson Hobbs has a little bit of a hitch in his breath that grates on me and Lucy Malone sounds too old for these characters but I am being nit picky because they are completely believable and easy to listen to.

Friends to Lovers is always a favorite!!

Natalie and Miles are best friends.

Miles is living the life of a swinging single and sharing his knowledge of women and sex in his column. He is not the relationship type.

Natalie on the other hand runs her own business, is in a relationship with her high school boyfriend, and owns her dreamhouse. She is on the commitment track. Miles comes to visit just as everything in her relationship hits a huge pothole.

Miles is sweet, sexy, fun, and maybe not so commited to avoiding commitment.

Natalie is smart, nice, trusting, friendly, and convinced no one sees her as sexy. Certainly not the guy she thinks she might spend her life with. Or will she?

I loved Natalie and Miles. Neither of them expected their friendship to become more, even if the attraction has always been there.

And I love the sisters' interactions with each other and the inclusion of the men in their lives.

The narrators are growing on me.

Miles and Natalie

Natalie is one of those people who has to have her life planned out and does not like to divert from that plan at all, if at all possible. Some might call her stubborn, but she calls it determination. She has been with the same college boyfriend for 10 yrs and plans on staying with him and completing her 'Life Plan' with him even though she admits the spark is gone and she thinks he's cheating on her.

Until a drunken night out with her sisters ends up with a psychic reader and she proceeds to tell Natalie that her life is about to be upended. Natalie is skeptical until she gets a call from her old college friend Miles, who she happens to have a small crush on. He is in town and wants to hang out and while they are hanging out he has no qualms about telling her he likes her and always has. This has Natalie confused and one thing leads to another and before you know it she is suddenly single and they embark on a wild weekend. The problem with these two is that Natalie wants and is ready for it all; the house, marriage and kids while Miles is set on being the eternal single guy with no cares or worries.

Life happens and throws both of them a curve ball neither was expecting or ready for. This was a great follow up to the first book. It was also nice to get glimpses of Sebastian and Skylar and what they were up to since their book ended. Looking forward to Gillian's story next.

VERY CUTE ROMANCE

I'd purchased this without reading the details because book 1 was INCREDIBLE, only to realize this was about a different Nixon sister! Although this book was good, it wasn't off the charts great like the first. I loved Miles' character, super funny, and his kink was EPIC and oh so delicious to read, whereas Natalie was little tame for my taste. All that said, I give this one a strong 4-stars because overall it was well written, and I'm a sucker for love stories that are born of lifelong friendships like Miles' and Natalie's.

Let it out.

Some sort of crazy review: One article said, “In a relationship, it's easy to fall into a pattern. And I'm not saying there's something wrong with routine. It’s really quite lovely to be with someone who makes you feel so secure that you can go through life unfazed by the bullshit. But you have to be careful in love. Sometimes, you can confuse being comfortable with being happy. All too often, we find ourselves in long-term relationships that don’t excite us. We stay because we’re terrified of the alternative, but we don’t have the energy to start something new. Our everyday routines make us complacent and satisfied, and it's too late before we realize what's happening. After months, years and perhaps even decades, you wake up beside your partner and don't even know how you ended up there. Though the differences between "happy" and "comfortable" can be slight, they're very real. “. I think Natalie and Dan were truly too comfortable, one of them, Dan, didn’t do enough effort to kept their love going, to bloom. Dan was taking advantage of it all. It truly happens...being in a rut and wanted to take a break with each other ( or you already did during the 10 years) to discover if she is the one or vice versa. Sad to hear but I think if love is strong enough, they will be drawn back to each other. RIGHT?

Now, Natalie and Miles, knew each other since they were kids and they kept in touch. Their friendship is unique and always there for each other. Their connection became more, though, and to be honest, they were comfortable, too. However, it seems with them the difference is their love actually bloom. Maybe it’s because everything is new, the next level in their relationship, but more as if, they were willing to make each other happy, the effort to do so. That’s okay. They discover or better yet, ignite a beautiful spark between them. Miles is willing to learn how to keep the spark alive. They both wanted to grow with one another physically and emotionally.

Okay, so, maybe you read this type of love story before or they are just confused between what love and lust is however for me, the writing style had some sense of humor in it and so much cuteness, I couldn’t resist reading between the lines...that being in a relationship or keeping it...well, is tough but once you find a “real” connection, you do anything not to let it go & perhaps, in the case of Miles & Nat’s lives needed a little chaos to see what it could be...BETTER. Life is unpredictable but beautiful at the same time.

or this is all crap because I am bias...I do love reading the books in the category of FRIENDS TO LOVERS >_<.

Crazy Happy about Love

I love how this friendship develops the characters. It is a sweet naughty friendship. Love how characters from 1st book are included and participate in the love. The sex is hot. wish there was more of course.

Yuck

Bad narrator, skin crawling story. The narrator sounds like a frail old woman, and she keeps talking about bdsm. I don’t understand all the good reviews. I can’t finish and desperately want my credit back.

Natalie & Miles

Enjoyed the closet scene. Definitely a hot one. Had a hard time liking Miles like a petulant man boy, but he finally grew on me at the end. I enjoyed the 1st book much better, hope the final one makes up for it.

Miles and Natalie are adorable.

This felt like a quick listen. Super sexy and adorable. But I feel like it could have had more. It could have been extended some more. I would have enjoyed a bigger gesture by Miles. Some more drama from Dan. I felt that Natalie took the cheating a little too calm to be realistic. But overall a nice feel good story.
