Lincoln Mathis doesn't hide his reputation as Manhattan's ultimate playboy. In fact, he cultivates it. But behind every flirtatious smile, each provocative quip, there's a secret that Lincoln's hiding from even his closest friends - a tragedy from his past that holds his heart quietly captive. Lincoln knows what he wants: someone like Daisy Sinclair, the sassy, off-limits bridesmaid he can't take his eyes off at his best friend's wedding. He also knows that she's everything he can never have.

After a devastating divorce, Daisy doesn't need anyone to warn her off the charming best man at her sister's wedding. Love!!

I started to read this on Chapters but I hate paying to read something knowing that the funds never go back to the author. I decided to buy the audio book and it was such a good decision! I loved everything about it. From the tears to the laughs to the overall feels of the story! I loved that it was so sweet and romantic while still being so raw and emotional. I also loved that their were some intimate scenes without being obscene Or raunchy. Overall I just love it so much!

Loved - Hated - Loved - REALLY Hated

I loved Lincoln in the previous books.

In his story I Loved - Hated - Loved - Hated - Loved - REALLY HATED him to the point that up to about 8 minutes before the book ended I didn’t think he could do anything to make me like him again, and the heroine would be a doormat if she took him back, but I did change my mind.

The heroine is written as a better person than I would have been under the same circumstances.

I didn’t have problems with the narrator as many people did, but then again I listened to it at a higher speed.

Someone Like You

So, so good! Two injured souls who come together to heal. You would never know Lincoln does not have it all. He is the ultimate playboy, at least that is what he portrays to the world. Really he is celibate after his fiance is in a car crash and critically injured and he has spent the last couple years and he visits the last Sunday of the month. This has been his life until his boss's wedding and meeting Daisy, the maid of honor and twin sister of the bride. Daisy is newly divorced. Both are warned off each other but end up ditching the reception. These two are made for each other but it is a slow burn but a wonderful story.

Siri

So, so bad! It was like first generation Siri reading it. Couldn’t listen past 5 minutes. Even that was difficult. Do yourself a favor and just read the book.

Horrible Computerized Narration

I couldn't even get thru the 2nd chapter. The computerized narration made it sound more like a instruction manual rather then a romance comedy. Listeners CAN NOT connect with the story when it doesn't even sound like a human is telling it. Very disappointed and glad I didn't pay for this. If I had, this review would have been even worse.

Good Read

Definitely a slow burn. I loved that the characters were created and played a big role in Lincoln and Daisys life. It was at times frustrating because Lincoln was so closed off and I was like ....come on man....but I understand. It was his love that unexpectedly went into a vegetated state and then died. I felt bad for Daisy...but then I was like just hang in there...ANYWAY...a great ending to two deserving people. 😊

Narration Problems

I read the reviews about the narration and I have to agree about how it hurt the book. The first hour of the book was painful to the point where i could tell I would enjoy the story, but the narration was ruining it for me. i felt like i was listening to a procedural documentary instead of a book. However, i will say the narration did improve with time. I'm not sure if I just got used to it or if it got better. I think a little bit of both. If you enjoy the series still it give a go. (Audible if you're listening I agree with other reviewers. A redo on the narration would do wonders for the book.)

Good read, bad listen.

The book its self is a great read. However, the women reading this book is awful. I'm having such a hard time listening. She sounds like a robot.

Eh

I liked the book, but honestly, just didn't feel like I *got* the connection between the two. I just didn't think we got enough of their relationship/attraction developing.
