Publisher's Summary

A warrior without a soul...

Raze NaFeen has sacrificed everything in service of his fellow Detyen warriors. Refugees without a planet, they search for answers. Who destroyed Detya all those years ago? And why? Otherwise cursed to die at 30 without a mate, Raze and his comrades have taken drastic action, destroying their souls and killing the emotions of young warriors to prolong their lives. Raze feels nothing. No love, no hate, no fear. Until he meets Sierra.

A spy on a mission...

Sierra Alvarez has a lot to live up to. As the daughter of a celebrated general, she's expected to follow in his militaristic footsteps and rise through the ranks of the Sol Defense Agency. Except Sierra is no soldier, her talents are best used for sneaking and subterfuge for Sol Intelligence. But when an off planet mission gets out of hand, she'll need to use every skill she has to work with a mysterious, sexy warrior to save dozens of lives.

Two worlds collide...

Raze and Sierra shouldn't fit, but every minute spent together tells them that their chemistry is too hot to ignore. But they'll need to fight pirates, their people, and the vast distances of space to find a way for two lost souls to become one whole. Can a man without a soul find his mate? And is that bond enough to heal wounds that run deep?

Soulless is the first novel in the new Detyen Warriors series. This takes place in the same world as Mated to the Alien. Each Detyen Warriors novel can be read as a standalone and there are no cliffhangers. Enjoy feisty women, intense men, fated mates, and hot relationships.

Love this Audio book. Great story !!!

The old horror legend is true...a Detyen can live past their 30th birthday! But they must do it without their soul, no emotions, no expectations for life. Raze has chosen this path to repay a debt he believes he owes to past Detyens. Sierra is an adopted child of a military general. Her career choice as a spy is not the life her father wants for her and the two continually clash over this subject. On a mission to gather information on a Senator's niece who has been abducted by space pirates/ slavers, Sierra meets an alien to whom she feels an unexpected attraction, a soul deep connection. Raze is on a search and retrieval assignment with two other warriors...find and return a device that may hold the key to what or who destroyed the Detyen planet over 100 years ago. What he finds in addition...is his Denya!! Thoughts, emotions and an indescribable feeling of possession bombard him...has he regained his soul because of his mate? Working together, the two groups combine forces to save a dozen kidnapped human woman from their captors. Raze and Sierra face many obstacles and dangers on their quest to reach their Happily Ever After. Great characters, captivating storyline and Amazing narration. Whatt?!? Why you do this to me?!?

Cliffhanger!!
Wow! She did it to me. I wasn't excepting a cliffhanger.
This was a great listen. It had everything I was looking for in a good audible.
It took sometime to get use to the narration but once I did it flowed from there.

I enjoyed the story I just wish it didn't have a cliffhanger.

NOT A STANDALONE!

I received this wonderful audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Let me by first stating that I have never listened or read anything by Kate Rudolph and Starr Huntress. I am a huge fan of Sci-Fi romance and I figured that I should just go ahead and drive right into these two works. It also helped that Ian Gordon and Jennifer Gill who narrator basically ALL of one of my favorite authors, M.K. Eidem's, books. This audiobook already had twenty million pluses with it.

When I got into the story I realized that it is a good book in its own right as well. I loved Raze and I loved Sierra. The fact that this book had two very strong main characters made me happy. Even though the main characters where great the secondary characters were not. I disliked most of the women in this story. I know as a woman that sounds bad but they just criticized and made Sierra and Raze and all of the Detyen Warriors fell like they were useless.

I understand that some of the women had horrible things happen to them however the way they acted was not needed. Also Sierra's work colleagues were just horrid. I know that they had a mission however it seems as though they dislike Sierra and I want to know why? It just seems as though there is something underlying between the three women.

Even though the description says that this can be read as a standalone do not believe it!! IT IS NOT A STANDALONE. IT WILL NEVER BE A STANDALONE. PLEASE DO NOT DO IT TO YOURSELF IF YOU JUST WANT A ONE BOOK OFF. IT ENDS WITH A CLEAR SETUP FOR A BOOK 2!!!

Soulless

This book was fantastic to listen to! The dual narrators fit together seamlessly and the male narrator did a great job with vocal inflections to portray the soulless warriors. The story was engaging and filled with action.

Great

I really like the narration style of these narrators. If I had one complaint, it would be the abrupt ending. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Interesting story concept

Its almost like an alien Logan's Run, only with a biological imperative to spice things up a bit. :) I enjoyed the story.... right up until the cliffhanger at the end. Hoping for a chance to read and review more from this series, as I really want to know what happens next! #AudiobookObsession #AuralFixation

Entertaining alien romance!

The narration is a little weird; better suited for the old time sci-fi adventures than romance. That being said, I liked the performance. It’s kind of fun to listen to; the male narrator gives a solid performance.

I love Sci-Fi alien romances! Such fun! This one has the sweet mate connection, space pirates that kidnap people; mostly women, to be slaves to their needs, space battles, cool aliens, and of course, spaceships!

Loved the connection between Raze and Sierra. Sweet and hot! Raze’s team is captured by the slavers, Sierra’s team is also captured by the slavers, so they have a common goal to not only save their teams but to also save all the others imprisoned. There’s a connection between them, but it’s difficult to have trust in this high stress situation. Plus, they have to deal with Raze’s Soulless status; which basically means he doesn’t experience feelings or rather he’s indifferent to everything. I really liked how the author handled this scenario.

Looking forward to reading about the other alien’s finding their mates in the next books and more space action!

Unique Alien romance series - ready for more

This was a unique new take on an alien romance series. Fated mates aren't my favorite genre, but this series has a unique twist that keeps the story from being predictable or boring. I look forward to reading and/or listening to more from this series.

At first, I didn't love the dual narration. Almost all of the narration is by Ian Gordon with Jennifer Gill piping in for only the female voices (but no the female internal dialogue). While it took me a little while to get used to, I ended up finding the narration great!

Soulless

Intriguing start to this story. Alien warriors, strong human soulmates, and lots of action what’s not to like. Ending on a cliffhanger. Looking forward to the next book.
