Publisher's Summary

It's starting to happen everywhere: in business, social, and spiritual circles. People are discussing whether they are dealing with a problem at a "green" level or how they can try to see things from a "yellow" perspective. What do these colors mean? They're all a part of Spiral Dynamics, a sweeping view of human consciousness, taught by Dr. Don Beck, that has received Ken Wilber's "highest recommendation".

On Spiral Dynamics Integral, listeners will learn to master this vital method for unraveling the "complexity codes" of human psychology and transforming conflict into productive action.

Deep implications; needs more storied substance

the first third is inspiring in the sense of (Claire Graves) discovering these deeper consciousness-cultural patterns...this knowledge has wonderful implications. however, the last two thirds seemed to trail on and it became more challenging to connect viscerally with the ideas. perhaps his voice, or perhaps this knowledge needs more dialogue, or other forms of expression to get across.
worth knowing about.

A Clearer way of Seeing the World

These sessions do a great job of giving a thorough introduction to Spiral Dynamics and what it’s useful for. I appreciate Don Becks honour for other Vmemes/colours: he doesn’t use the system as a “these people are better than those”. This material has given me a framework in which I can appreciate, respect, honour and understand how other people think and why they think that way.

New Perspective on How World Works

It opened my eyes to how this world works from a whole new perspective. Also, I understood that my development lies in pursuing to go from one level to another level of the spiral and that there is no ending point or the highest level it's just the level that we figured out to be able to attain. Loved it

Not what I expected

Very disappointed in this book. I thought it was going to be in depth information about each color / level but that was probably only about 30% of the book. Instead, it was mostly the author talking about "If only the world knew this information" and "If people viewed the world through these lenses it'd be so much better".
I didn't buy the book to be convinced that this system is effective. I already know it is. I bought the book to gain an understanding of the levels and what to look for in people to determine their levels. Clearly this isn't the book to do that.
