Getting real life

I found this book very challenging. The writer delves into, it seems, every area of life and the value of being completely given to God and His service with the goal of the reader becoming more and more like Jesus Christ.

A valuable book for anyone serious about their Christian faith

This was at the top of many lists when I googled “best books on Christian disciplines”. I now know why. A comprehensive and specific look at numerous disciplines, the author is also clear about what this book is NOT intending to say. That may be almost as important as the content itself! Always encouraging the reader toward a closer relationship with God without putting a legalistic expectation on followers of Jesus. A very tricky needle to thread, but well done here. Mission accomplished with this reader!
